The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in England

Like the previous review, we too booked online (on 28th June) and arrived yesterday to find the new owners up to their ears in decorating. They were most apologetic, but Quandoo are still taking bookings. BEWARE!

We have recently had another amazing meal and service here. For a January evening it was busy with a great atmosphere and decorated as beautiful as ever. We had amazing service from Bunty; wow what a professional, thinking of what you need before you even have to ask. I’ve been wanting to try the fish and chips for a while and they were delicious; the side order vegetables cooked to perfection too. The whole evening was faultless (if I am being picky the ice cream lacked a bit of wow factor if I was being honest). All meals looked fantastic and the wine was sublime. Can’t wait to return again.

La comida era buena, pero el entrante no llegó hasta después de la principal, no nos cobraron. No estoy seguro de por qué el menú de todo el día no comienza hasta las 4 pm.

Obnoxious!!!! We went to restaurant for birthday ( wife's)lunch today and had worst possible experience by the mgr Sara.She came to our table hold our one flavoured water bottle which we brought for our disabled daughter, was telling off by saying that we should've brought this bottle as some ppl comes here with such bottle with alcohol.in addition, she warned us not to bring such bottle. My wife deliberately was trying to make her understand that it was for my little disabled daughter and she doesn't drink normal water ( as dr.instucted).she was still arguing about her excuses about alcohol etc. As I wanted to talk to mgr,she told me that she was responsible as mgr. And no apology was extended either..I was really surprised and disgusted by this experiences .I am being a hotel manager currently would not accept such Obnoxious behaviour by a manager specifically with family with disabled little girl..she basically ruined our day out as she was talking about this wiered exuses and obviously, in front of our guests and my disabled daughter..Severely shocked and disappointed about this.i will NOT come again and will notify this incident to all my fellow friends and their families to avoid sultan for their visit. This is really unacceptable.. SHAME!!!!!

It’s been 6,7 years we used to go there but last night I had the bad experience ever, nothing was same as we used to eat there portion was too small and price goes quite up now. If they put the price up then they supposed to do the platers like that but the plater wasn’t that good ,will never go there again. According to me I think the food taste is not like they were used to be 😔😔😔 I got embarrassed 😞 in front of my friends who were invited for a dinner there .

No he vuelto en diez años y fue un verdadero placer volver con mi familia. Comida como siempre increíble y un gran servicio. ¡Muy recomendable!

Out of the four of us ,three had the turkey dinner. We all decided that the turkey was chewy and gristly. On complaining we were told that no one else had complained and we were offered a cup of coffee as compensation for a £25 turkey dinner which fell well below acceptable. Rather than make a fuss we put it down to experience and my wife ordered a Baileys coffee. I was gobsmacked when we were told that we would have to pay for the Baileys in the coffee . They obviously don't value their customers . Very disappointing customer service

After a lovely walk around beautiful Southwell we call here for a coffee & bite to eat. Coffee was lovely as was the food. Friendly staff too, what’s not to like 😊

Buena comida, servicio agradable y rápido, buen precio y grandes porciones. Prueba el pulpo, ostras, ensaladas y pescado. Vale la pena visitar!

The Pub is on the ground floor and provides very reasonably priced meals. Can be busy, but the staff are very efficient and helpful.

Despite being from Cheltenham, this is the first time i have eaten in The Horsebox. It will not be the last. The food was excellent, nice Chilled atmosphere and very dog friendly. Worth the money, definitely

Table of 8, Food look warm, chips were hot , meals came out at difrent times, had to send 1 plates of food back it was that cold, food not eorth the price had better at a weather's so thats saying something l, Rubbish service yes they were busy but no excuse , singer to loud couldn't talk to each other. Then waited over an hour for the bill, first bill was £475. 75 over what we orderd as they had thrown in somebody's lunch bill on our receipt...they argued until they rilised it was there mistake, second bill was the 1st bill again and we were told to ignore the top half, so we went through it drawn lines through all items we did not order ...they took that bill away again to bring the same bill back, no ammened bill and said we need to pay £435 we disputed this as we got the bill at £ 410. By this time this was an hour later from the 1st bill being brought out It is this point the waitress got an attitude with one of our party and manager was called. Then a 3rd bill came out this was a new fully itemised with all orders so this was correct they said at £435 so we paid, we got a very sorry for the mix up not offer of the bill being reduced or free drink . Just you have paid now on your way . Poor food Rude staff , not all staff Ripp off So look at your bill as they add other diners orders to it. Very unsatisfactory

Ordered through the website. Had an order confirmation email and money taken from my account. An hour later, food still hadn't turned up. Tried to call them but straight to voicemail multiple times. Turns out they were closed. Had to go through my bank to get a refund. Doesn't look like it's the first time they've done this to people. Used to be great, avoid now!

High prices Rubbish service. Power cut. Freezing rooms. No one was interested in our complaint. Sent the children home with grandparents as it was too cold for them
