Tatiana looked after us brilliantly well and we had the best of times. We were fortunate to be there for the “£1 a pop oyster” offer and enjoyed 12. The exceptional Muscadet washed down the fish pie, haddock and chips, Brixham hake and pan fried cod fillet. So special.

This was our 5th visit, every time we go it’s such great food and service I wanted to leave a review. An independent family owned restaurant that blends fine dining with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Fresh fish specials every day that never disappoint I cannot recommend it enough.

We ordered the homemade steak and mushroom pie, chips and peas. It was the best pie we have eaten in a long time. Plenty of the meat, extra tasty gravy and new potato chips. Definitely home made, such a wonderful meal to enjoy whilst on our day out. Will be going there again whenever we are in Great Yarmouth.

Taking our daughter in law out for lunchtime meal. She has eaten here before but we hadn’t. I booked online. Very nice interior and Christmas decorations were up which all looked nice. We ordered Ham Egg & Chips, Meat Pie, Chips, garden peas and gravy, I had Haddock Fish Cakes, Skinny Chios & Peas. All food was lovely. Staff all very pleasant and the toilets were clean. Plenty of car parking. We will come again I am sure if in the area

Being locals we often eat in here. Their Sunday lunches are fabulous. Today we walked from Rame Head and back. 5 round. In the summer we go over in the boat. Lovely out door seating looking over the bay towards Plymouth. You can get a ferry over from Plymouth. A great family beach.

The Good - the fish and chips were lovely, when you eventually get them (see The Bad). The Bad - their food is made on order, so not like a conventional fish and chip shop where the food is pretty much already made and the service is fast. I was in the queue for probably 3 quarters of an hour (no exaggeration). As soon as you’re inside the shop, you’re asked what you want, which gives you a false sense of optimism. It just means your food is made on order though. Meanwhile, all the customers in front of you, once they start being served at the till, take about 10 minutes each. There is only one person serving and two people cooking. I understand why they’re doing this - it’s to increase their margin and avoid wastage. But all that comes at a cost to the customer who suffers awful service. Maybe think about having two people on service and see your reviews regularly scoring 5.
