The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

We drove quite a way to get fish and chips as a treat for my mother in law who is 98 and housebound. But they’re no longer open Sunday. Disappointed!

Ordered a takeaway. Late by 20 minutes and cold. Savaloy unpleasant and my daughter couldn’t eat it. Won’t be ordering again.

Went yesterday after the pleasure beach. Really nice fish and chips all cooked to order shop inside customer area could have been cleaner

6.40p small fish, chips and peas ( portion are big) ONLY prob is the chips are cut pretty THIN so I threw about 3rd away , the peas THIS TIME where a dark green and a bit stui ( stuck together ) so I as good as threw them all away and the fush was pretty dry inside ( I did eat it all as I was hungry) they need to cut the chips THICKER !!!,

Hi, had mixed kebab with salad, chips and a curry sauce, kebeb was ok! Chips like cardboard and flavourless watery curry sauce, had one like this before, no names, won’t bother again. Really disappointed, used to be faultless, shame.

We always use this place when in Bridgnorth. The cod and chips are great - so good that we don’t eat fish and chips when we’re at home and wait until our ‘next’ visit to Bridgnorth to have them there. The curry sauce has its own unique flavour too but it tastes sooooo nice!

A tail end of a fillet , how this can be called large cod i would love to know , for the price this isn’t good enough. Disappointing

17th of October 2024, walked in evening to order my takeaway.Got home and really looking forward to my dinner after hard at work. Tucked in and the chips were freshly cooked but the fish tasted been there for quite some time or it's the oil! Abit disappointed but had to eat at the end of the day.

W J Rowe, or more commonly Rowe's, is a superb Fish and Chip shop with a good selection of Fish, Pies, Sausages, etc. Mushy Peas can be obtained plain or with mint sauce (recommended). Staff are friendly and helpful. Can get busy at times (Friday evening for example) so pick your moment to check it out.

They're absolutely amazing in here, I came in after going to the doctors to wait for my prescription with the WORST sore throat going, I was given the loveliest welcome and immediately offered a cup of tea, for a pretty rubbish start to the day this made it all better!!

Viking have been under new management since December 2023 and I like the new team. We had fish-n-chips and both parts of this classic combo were done perfectly for us.

Conveniently located. The owners are not so nice, treat the public with contempt. The food is ok for a quick bite. Wouldn’t return as the service is disgusting toward customers, always shouting at workers, the premises is dirty.

Spent £30 on food as we've been decorating all day, the fish was nice but the onion rings were hard and crusty, and the chicken fillets were thrown in the bin as when child bite into one you could see pink amd wasn't risking it, wished I'd taken a picture now

I love the food here but the staff are never very friendly. I went yesterday and even though the place was still open for another 40 minutes they were irritable about us sitting down and then started spraying really strong detergent everywhere and literally mopping under our chairs!
