The best restaurants serving Thai food in England

Had a really authentic meal with the best service from Herman! We had the appetizer platter, red curry, sizzling beef dish and the pad kee mao and it was all delicious. Our server Herman was so friendly and funny too - definitely will be back!

Order is not completed, we order meat thali, it supposed to contain item mentioned, but there was no prawn dish and king prawns. very disappointed with that. they only send lamb curry a d veg curry.

We ordered the thai jaa appetiser, tom yum soup, pad krapow, prawn and scallop in black pepper sauce. All delish. Highly recommend.

Visiting London for work and therefore eating alone, great little restaurant in this area. Cosy vibes, lovely staff. Reasonable prices. Extensive menu. I chose the Thai pork meatballs and vegetable pad Thai, glass of wine and a sparkling water. Bill came in at £37, which is reasonable for London.

Amazing experience! I thought I didn’t like Thai food because I’d only tried places like Giggling Squid, but the real thing blew me away! Delicious food, fabulous atmosphere, lovely staff. I might have to go to Thailand, but if not I’ll just keep coming here. Thank you!

Unexpected gem in the middle of Derbyshire! One of the best Thai meals I’ve had. Nice to have somewhere not afraid to amp up the spice and punchy flavours. Would return in a heartbeat.

Location great service great.Staff great.Food - not so great. Large party - bottomless brunch - food was not good bar most of the French fries/ We would have asked for a partial refund but were at a party and did not want to make a fuss at this celebration- I understand separate contact is in the process with the venue. The food was just poor - bread was hard, small portions of chicken, a colour dyed bagel really was very off putting. One pre ordered food order missed - food came out and assumed it would be fresh. It seemed reheated and was not eaten in its entirety. Also a suggestion get the condiments out first - by the time these came (for the fries) they were either cold or eaten. Staff were attentive and drinks were fairly fast in coming so that was good. So whilst a good time was had and the drinks got filled quickly - and maybe it’s a thing with bottomless brunches - the food was not good so eat before you go and enjoy the cocktails.

Delicious dinner for four of us at The Old Siam. The waiters/waitresses were the perfect level of attentive and we had a nice little laugh with them. I had the duck rolls to start them the PAD KRA PAO with minced beef which was DELICIOUS. They were also able to adjust the spiciness of the dish which was appreciated!! Can’t wait to come back!

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Zaap Thai in Headingley, Leeds. From the moment I picked up the phone, things went downhill fast. I initially called to place an order, and after being passed around three different members of staff, I was left feeling more frustrated with each transfer. The cherry on top? They hung up on me—mid-sentence. This is beyond unprofessional. After the abrupt disconnection, I had to call back and explain everything again, only to be met with no effort to resolve my problematic order. At no point did any of the staff offer a solution or show any sense of accountability. The complete lack of customer service was not only disappointing but utterly infuriating. If this is how Zaap Thai in Headingley treats a returning customer, I can’t imagine how they handle first-timers. My partner and I have frequented this place multiple times, but this experience has left me questioning whether it's worth continuing to support them. The complete lack of customer service, combined with the frustration of dealing with an unhelpful and disorganized team, has soured my opinion entirely. It’s a shame, as we’ve enjoyed the food in the past, but with service like this, I’m not sure we’ll be back.

This place was recommended to us by a friend as a good place to go when one of your party is vegan, and we weren't disappointed. Good selection of vegan options. Very tasty food overall and the service couldn't have been better. Even though it was busy, we felt like we had an entire team of servers catering specifically to OUR needs. Even the toilets looked amazing. I assume they have recently had a refurbishment. First time here, but we will definitely come again. Thanks to AJ and team.

Beautiful decor and ambience. The food is 5* and the service from staff here has been really friendly, made us feel welcome and often checked up on us for our needs. I will definitely return here as it's difficult to find a restaurant consisting all in one.
