Alaina was fantastic. Really friendly and helpful, a real shining light to this harvester.

A lovely meal and the staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait long and the meal was delicious.

UP DATE AND IT'S BAD NEWS . We where a table of 8. Went on new years eve at 2pm as it quiets then. Unfortunately the food has slipped. We asked about the light bites venue and was told "we don't do this any more." This was funny as when we sat at the table there was a big poster advertising this menu. At this time it was not busy, but watied over an 1 hour for main meals. Had to send buger back as it was sent out just the budget on plate nothing else just this buger in the midle og the plate. Chips where just the scraps. Then over 30 mins for dessert we'll thay where a massage let down. The 6 make your owne icream was poor. The apple pie had been pinged to death as it was hard aa a brick Service was good fron the 1st server, the we had 2 more servers after that . Over all this please has lost it quality. I WILL NOT RECOMED THIS PLACE

Some food cold. Waited over an hour for starters. Asked if we wanted dessert now or later - having said now, we still waited a long time. When serving the meals some people were waiting for theirs whilst others had finished! Even after long waits we were asked to leave the table in ten minutes time. Totally understaffed explains a lot! Considering this was booked in September, we thought it would have been much more organised.

We come here for breakfast atleast once a month, usually more. We love it. The breakfast is consistently good, they’ve got the good sausages not the crappy ones. Unlimited coffee is such good value. But the staff are also really lovely. Today we had Alaina serving us and she was just so chatty and friendly and helpful. We usually have Courtney though, and she is so lovely that when she’s not here we feel a bit sad! All the staff are really lovely, the whole place has a homely and welcome atmosphere. We love it!!

We had Christmas lunch here (2024) Very busy but well organised. Food came promptly and the service was excellent. Food was lovely with generous helpings. Overall a very pleasant Christmas dinner out. Will deffo try to come again.

Was really disappointed with the Christmas Dinner on Christmas eve, I was really long forward to it but for 18.99 I got 1 piece of turkey, the potatoes was terrible. Will be having a carvery from now on.

We booked a table for a get together with family today, there were 9 of us. We arrived at 15:15 for our 15:30 booking and we were seated and the member of staff was brilliant. The staff member continued with us right through to ordering our food. We were then given salad dishes for salad by a second member of staff, that is when it fell apart. We waited around 30 minutes for our starters to be brought out. Then once we had finished them we sat waiting for our mains for around 40 minutes, the mains were brought out and put on the table alongside the empty/dirty starters plates which were left on the table; these stayed there for the remainder of the meal. My husband and I are vegetarian and ordered from the festive menu Mushroom Galette which is marked up as VE, we thought this would be a safe option. When the meal arrived it came with a Yorkshire pudding, a stuffing ball and pig in blanket. We asked the attendant if it was a vegan and she went to ask, when she came back she said we hadn't specified we were vegetarian!!! It said it was vegan why did we need to specify? As we were with family we let this go, but just to say the main did not advertise a Yorkshire pudding anyway but it did say there we would get a paprika and tomato sauce which we didn't get... Once the mains were finished we sat and waited but after almost an hour no one came, my husband went and asked for desert menus and they were brought but not the festive menus which we were eating from. We had to go back and have them changed. We ordered our desserts which were brought within about 15 minutes. Can I just say here we still had dirty dishes from our staters and now mains on the table. We then wanted to order coffee but we were left for a further 30 minutes so my husband went and asked for the bill from the bar. As no one came to take our payment we once again went to the bar and paid. This was the worst experience of our lives at a time when we wanted to celebrate with our family. Absolutely diabolical, we spent £170 and would have spent more had we have been serviced better. We will never come back again after using your restaurant for years. Please see pictures of the menu which states the order we made was vegan even though your chefs added meat to it because we didn't specify and the piles of dirty plates on the table whilst we were being served other courses

Had a lovely birthday meal with family every person had their own adjustments according to taste preferences and thoroughly enjoyed their meals the environment and excellent service. Thank you for a great time 😀👍🏼

Wanted to say a big thank you to The Harvester. Especially, Izzy our server. I brought a group of volunteers for Christmas Breakfast. This was our 3rd visit together and you didn't fail to deliver. I was assured that everyone in my party was satisfied and thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast. Thank you.

Not the best experience. Ordered a chicken skewer, 2 sides of wings, chips and onion rings and two drinks. Took an hour to arrive. The people on the table opposite gave up and left crossly having only had the salad bar. That upset the staff who were then stomping round upset. Finally food arrived and my skewer was burnt and the chicken so dry it was barely edible, and I got chips instead of the sweet potato fries I ordered, but I was so hungry I ate it anyway lol! Didn't have the heart to complain as the server looked like she was going to cry!! BBQ wings were nice to be fair. Gobsmacked that this meal set me back £48!! Lesson learned and won't be making another visit😅.

As regular customers here at the Harvester (salad pub) as my daughter has called it since she was 2. Can’t fault it. My 4 year old loved her calamari and scampi today.. . Sara your great always so friendly and helpful, thank you means a lot.. hence the returning custom for 2 years. Cheers Isabelle and jannine

We came to breakfast with Santa this morning and it was lovely, very well organised and calm. The food was lovely and the service was exceptional. We was served by a lady called Alaina and she was lovely, very attentive and friendly. Perfect. We will definitely be coming back.

Came for breakfast with Santa, Alaina looked after us fantastically, went out of her way to make sure we went through to Santa after breakfast.

The Food is very exquisite, there's lots of options to pick from and it will always leave you full with the delicious meals they have there. Our server Alaina was very nice and cheerful, she always brought a happy and nice atmosphere to the table. Me and my family and friends come every Friday and we always have a great time.

What a fantastic night at the Christmas party, we already can’t wait for next years!

We had great service from Maddy and brill food cooked by Lily this evening. Also attended the kids Xmas party harvester had put on for free with lots of games and music on which my son enjoyed. Was lots of fun!

Gorgeous food and very well presented it was lovely. Shame can not say the same about the lazy 3 ladies who worked front of house tonight, they were the least attentive and stood around most of the 2 hours we were there chatting to each other behind the bar. Not noticing anything, empty salad bar, empty bread baskets, empty sauce jars. Tables not cleared or cleaned. We had to shout them over for everything, from ordering drinks, food and the bill. SHOCKING SERVICE.

Harvester leigh is always my favorite place to eat with family and family atmosphere. Nice food, lovely service. Many thanks to Izzy for her service.

Breakfast with Santa at Harvester Leigh every year, has been a great experience. Today we were served by the lovely Alaina. She was super friendly, attentive and served my awkward daughter who wanted Adult waffles instead of kids pancakes. Santa was very chatty and we were able to take many photos with accessories 🎅 See you next year!

I have been a regular customer for years and I have never been disappointed every time I have come, at the time of this review they had the festive menu on which was amazing! The chefs and servers (especially Alaina) were amazing and I would recommend everybody.

Had a lovely meal at the Harvester in Leigh today, salad bar is great and just the right time left inbetween for the mains, our server Alaina was so friendly and polite, thank you to her for a great service.

Me and my colleague to eat in this restaurant after a very busy day at work and we were very happy about it. The food was delicious and it was served to us by a very nice and kind woman whose name was Alaina. I recommend it and it will sure be in our options if its in our way.

Goto be the worst food in leigh and that's saying somthing small overpriced portio s staff are shocking not clearly needs sorting

The food, (a traditional Christmas turkey dinner), was very tasty, the staff were pleasant and attentive, and the ambience was calm and comfortable. If I really had to find fault then it would be regarding the strange omission of my chosen meal from the online ordering section of the app. Neither I nor my waitress, (Keeley, I believe), could find a way to order the Christmas meal through the Android app, which to me does seem to be a bit strange. I do however have to say that throughout my visit Keeley presented herself in a professional and courteous manner.

Having returned for the first time after an abysmal experience in September we hoped things might have improved how wrong we were food arrived and a lot of it was cold or barely lukewarm after we had eaten our meal we sat there and waited for someone to clear our table and enquire about dessert after a long wait we got the attention of one of the servers and asked for our bill we then told the shift supervisor how bad the meal and service was and that we would not be returning to Harvester

The food and quality was very good as was the free salad bar. The prices were high for pub food (so the 25% off offer was great) & the locations - not many Harvesters nearby where we actually live

Overall it's alright. Nothing to write home about. Mainly 3 stars as it seems recent menu change and nothing really for myself (vegan) to eat. Managed though and the food was nice. Went midweek, so nice and quiet really. If you want to go out for a midweek meal, that's not too expensive, you will be fine here and even better if you're not vegan as the menu is large.

The food , service etc was top notch. Because of food allergy I couldn't have what was on the menu. The manager came over and we settled on egg and chips. Oh my it was beautiful. Szara was an absolute star with us. That was my first time in a Harvester. Will definitely go again. Egg and chips here i come.

My mum booked the back room for my baby shower which we was told held up to 40 people. There was one staff member between us all to take our orders, bring out food, then had to take food back due to it being cold and being wrong, then he was expected to clean up after we had finished even with other staff just standing around this poor young lad was made to do all the work on his own hats off to this young lad you was amazing and he couldn’t apologise enough to us. I think he was called Harold young lad and so polite no issues what so ever with him as a staff member. The poor lad was then made to tell us we had to leave for half 4 even when people were still eating, people hadn’t received food they ordered and children waiting on their desserts. They had booked another party in after us and they was made to wait there was no give time inbetween us and them. We was rushed out of the room and kicked out having to try and get balloon stacks down, gifts in the car and to be out the room ourselves. When my mum spoke to the manager on shift he was very rude when she asked if he was the manger was blunt and said “yes who’s next” my mum hadn’t even told him the issues. Wouldn’t recommend if your booking for a large amount of people.

This is definitely going down hill the buffet wasn't good, very limited options. The food was very bland and not worth the cost of what I received. Then the service was very poor drinks didn't arrive I had to go to the bar and ask for these and (got told there wss a mix up) M&B is definitely letting standards slip

Food was amazing, probably the best burger I've ever had. Service was terrible, the staff behind the bar were rude and ignorant, my whole family had received their food and ate it before I even got mine. Will not be visiting again only because of the miserable service. Such a shame for such a nice pub and gorgeous food.

It seems a strange business decision to change a menu that no longer caters for people with Coeliac disease. It is disappointing as we used to enjoy eating here.

Staff service was excellent and the food was brilliant, the atmosphere was very calm.

We ordered food on too good to go and said collection at 8.30. We went early at 7.30pm to have a drink and wait for the food. On arrival we told the bar staff why we had come and we would get a drink and wait. Roll on 8.30 and when I went to collect out food the girl said ohhh i don’t think we have any left. She went to ask the manager and then 2 mins later the app pinged saying order cancelled, the manger came out saying sry about this but….. it’s not good enough the pub was empty and nobody came in after us so they could have told us soon as we arrived that it was all sold and we wouldn’t have had to wait and drink the awful flat beer they sell there. Won’t be going again for anything.

It was really good food, the new menu was a refreshing change. Compliments to the chefs Rachael, Layton and Freddie. Our server Aaron very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely be back to work our way through the menu!!

The food tastes the same like other traditional pub food, but prices are much bigger than others, starters taste like from Iceland so nothing special but ok, house wine overpriced

The food was beautiful although the time for delivery kept getting extended. it was worth the wait.

The staff here are lovely, this is going to be one of my places to go for breakfast before shopping. Staff are always on hand, the food is spot on, been here twice for breakfast now, and will be going back for sure. Plenty of parking spaces with a few disabled spaces near the door. Great place to eat.
