The Park in Wigan

Been tonight for our Christmas meal once again the food was excellent the service was brilliant and a lovely atmosphere and very reasonable prices been here a few times and never been disappointed once thank you so much see you again xx

Llegué a este local el 12 de noviembre 24 Tengo un vaso de agua que me dijo el barman que legalmente tienen derecho a darme esto. Iba a conseguir un paquete de patatas fritas, pero fui en contra de la idea ya que pensé £ 1. 55 era demasiado para un paquete. De todas formas fui a probar una de las máquinas tragamonedas y me dijeron que TENÍA que comprar algo para probar. Cuando pregunté por qué me dijeron que no podían ganar dinero jugando a la máquina incluso si perdía. Pero tuve que comprar algo para jugar para no jugar puedo tener mi agua para jugar tengo que gastar dinero. No sé ver cuál es la diferencia legalmente Puedo tomar un trago de agua, pero sus palabras fueron reglas internas No podía tomar agua y jugar a la máquina. No pensaré en cenar aquí o traer a nadie de mi familia después de que me hablaran en una mansión tan terrible. El nombre de los chicos que fue tan grosero y horrible conmigo se llamaba Aarron. No tengo intenciones de volver a su pub y gastar mucho dinero en comidas, etc conmigo mismo o con mi familia después de que me hablaran como una taza. Espero que la cervecería de Marston pueda ver esto y decirle a cualquiera como un derecho a jugar una máquina, ya sea que haya gastado £ 0 o £ 500 en un establecimiento que he gastado mucho en los pubs de Marston a lo largo de los años, incluso me alojé en hoteles allí para nunca ser tratado así.

Overall it was lovely, the staff were super friendly and attentive! Everywhere was very clean and the food was super yummy! I would say the prices are a bit high for the quality of food but can't be helped with everything at the minute! Would definitely visit again 😊

Food was nice and service was good. All the tables were very sticky and there was a very strange smell in the pub.

Went for a Sunday carvery. Fairly standard fare. Service was good start friendly.

Great Steak and Ale Pie. Didn't have a drink but I am sure the beers would be good. Table service fast and friendly

Es el lugar perfecto para ir y tener una reunión familiar con el personal siendo educado y acogedor con aspecto profesional y bien organizado durante el trabajo. La espera por la comida no fue larga con la comida siendo presentable y el sabor de la comida era excelente. Recomiendo a todo el mundo visitar sin tener ningún problema las últimas veces que hemos estado y siempre está siendo constante con su entrega. Seguro que vendremos aquí más regularmente.

Having moved to the area we decided to try out the local pub. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our seat, it was pretty busy but the service was fast and the we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks. The food was great and we will 100% be coming back. 5 Star *****

Chicken was cold! Said BBQ chicken but was not skewered.we complained that the flatbread was tough and looked microwaved so we left it. Tiny amount of salad no tomato. too.we were very disappointed

Quiet afternoon (3.30pm) for something to eat. Food was good but limited menu (typical pub grub). Plenty of offers on through the week as expected. Service was excellent and very friendly. Good range of drinks available. Great outdoor facilities when the weather allows.

This is only our second visit to the park hotel (Tuesday 21.06.24) and on both occasions have received a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The food has also been of a high quality. Pricing is very similar to other establishments in the area but, crucially, of a superior quality and quantity. Thanks again to your amazing staff. We will be back again very soon.

Appreciate that you were really busy tonight but...our first 3 choices of food you had run out of ( just after 6pm!) We then waited over 45 minutes for our food. Cowboy burger minus dipping sauce, veggie chilli tasted awful. I asked 2 female members of staff for some mayonnaise because the burger was so dry..got ignored on both occasions. In the end I left 3/4 of my burger and my fries. Disappointed I'm afraid!

Gorgeous pub. Food was delicious (didn't take photos of mains as partner had already tucked in by the time I'd come back from the toilets!), staff were attentive. Table service. No qualms!

Yes so the food was on the cold side when it was brought out, Had to ask more than once for another drink because the first time it was forgotten about. Lastly we was sat near 4 people that were really loud and ill mannered just complete disregard to other people that was eating discussing things openly loud that really shouldn't be broadcasted to a wider audience. Hope this clears the reason I give 3 stars up

We first came to the park in March as we got a 30% off voucher through the door. As soon as we walked in we got a friendly welcome from the owner. My 2 boys love it straight away as there was a pool table & darts so that was a winner. We had a lovely meal , hubby had a surf & turf , I had a chicken flat bread , my sons had a cowboy burger & chicken strips. The food was hot and really lovely. The lady complimented my boys on manners which was really nice. Today we returned this time for a Carvery. It was spot on , all hot and really well presented at the counter. The creamy Mediterranean potatoes were to die for and the braised red cabbage with the gammon was amazing. Kara served us & she wash lush , really friendly and bought extra ketchup for my youngest lol . We're coming back for sure with our pup 🐶 another winner because its dog friendly. Its definitely our new favourite place to visit xx

Not very good value for money chips were cold also the portion size for the burger and chips on the small size.also the burger tasted burnt. As for the kebab not a lot of Donna meat Overall not very impressed with food and would not recomend this based on my experience

Attended a post funeral wake in the conservatory room, quite a few people in the gathering and it was nice having the area just for the group. The staff were efficient and respectful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The chef/s somehow managed to get all the food ready at the same time so that everyone actually ate together which was excellent as there is nothing worse than some meals being served while others are left waiting. Would recommend as a venue for all types of celebrations.

Went on Christmas Eve for a family meal, food was excellent, beers good and reasonably priced. Honorary mention to the waiting staff who were very pleasant and hardworking. Will be returning 🙂

Execllent food on Christmas day, ive ben to a few places on chrishmas say and by far this was the best .Staff where very attentive and couldn't do enough for us.Will be booking again dor next year .

We have been here the last 2 years for Christmas dinner and have booked again for 2024. There were 21 of us this year and even with such a large booking everything was spot on, service was brilliant, they work so hard on Christmas Day and always have a smile on their face, all food was delicious served hot and all within a good time, the Lamb and Cherry bomb were amount the favourites. We often call in and eat here through out the year and never have any complaints food is good and service is excellent.

Had a meal early on a Sunday evening. It was busy but we were shown to a table and had good, quick service and a lovely meal. It was also reasonabley priced. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Food was great garlic mushrooms where overcooked and would be better with a salad but all in all great we be going every other Sunday my weekend off

Warm welcome from friendly attentive and professional front of house staff.Tom and Connor. Daryl the Chef prepared the most delicious Cod Chips and peas I have ever had Scrumptious. Bright clean and warm surroundings.

Cheese pie good nice pastry. Guinness was really great. Creamy head on it was excellent.

All the meat was baked under the heat lamps so we had hard meat, and very little portions i did ask for more to be told no, and no mash potatoes. Waited 10mins for mash coming out of the kitchen whilst i stood there my meal going cold to then be told, mash is not part of the carvery, but don't worry we wouldn't be charged extra, and to take our meals and they would bring the mash to us, on complaining nobody seemed in the slightest bit interested,

Absolutely disgusting! Food quality was poor,steak was tough and fatty! Hunters chicken sloppy, mixed grill meat was all fatty even had bits of bone in the sausage, gammon tough and the steak! I have no words!!! The staff....the guy behind the bar didnt crack a smile, no eye contact and just basically rude! If you dont like people dont get a job in hospitality!! Never ever again!! 😡😡

The manager was very helpful and told us we could order from the Lunch Bites, which the menu said was only available from 12pm until 3pm. As it was 3.25pm when we went in, we were told we were able to order from the Lunch Bites menu but it would be a smaller portion, which suited us. I prefer Gammon Steak with Pineapple as I don’t like Eggs or peas.

Great place to eat & drink with comfy furnature , I enjoyed 3 meals over three nights all at great value costing on average £14.00 including a pint. Will be visiting & eating here again.

Food ok , toilets dirty , people in bar with dogs and dirty clothes and the lady serving think she's the supervisor or manager whatever needs to learn some manners and to stop shouting across the bar at customers because it's not professional, and every time she serves a fish it's not a fish but a whale is getting boring .

We eat out on a regular basis,found other eateries have gone down in quality. We booked a table , We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food served and the atmosphere, we were not disappointed. The service was quick and freindly staff, price of the meal was what we expected. Would we go again? Definitely Well we decided to go again this is a follow up. This is a live review as we are here at the moment. I gave the meal order, not straight forward with very choosy grandchildren, upto now no complaints from them and the adults The food was plentiful and the staff were all helpful. 4 adults 5 grandchildren Everyone enjoyed them meals , Definitely come back again with less people in tow lol

Visited here just before New Year. Stayed to watch the football, food was excellent, the only thing better than the food was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back soon

The food was very greasy I had fish and chips with mushy peas, I tried to Eat it, I left most of it, they didn't ask way I had left so much, I didn't want to make a fuss the answer for me is never to go back 🤔
