Great place, friendly service, tasty food... All round excellent

I loved the food, the restaurant, the music was great, the price was super affordable... the Musaka and Salmon were wonderful. The space was beautiful for events and the private areas were super clean! I loved it... I went with my husband and my newborn son, I was very well looked after and there was enough space for the stroller... thank you.

Went to a birthday party there last night.There were two tables booked.On one table we wanted separate bills....and the restaurant told us that we had to pay in advance for our meals if we wanted separate bills ...otherwise they wouldnt cook our orders.The waiter was quite rude. We paid in advance in order to get our meals.When the food was served .about an hour and a half after we ordered,it was quite good.But it was an horrendous experience and Ive never been to a restaurant that made us pay in advance for our food.You should be ashamed of yourselves for treating customers like that!

The plate below was for £25 and 3 pcs grilled small prawns was for £12. They charged us £7 for bread and garlic & chilli sause. Normally its free in every turkish or lebanese restaurant i have ever been to. Absolutely ridiculous on staff attitude, they were not at all polite. Please do not go there to eat. It’s a ripoff. They will find way to charge you extra at the end.

This was my second time visiting, and I came with a large group of 20 family members. Everything was absolutely perfect—the service was excellent, and the food was amazing. I had the lamb shish with rice, and it was superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Modern Turkish restaurant. A bit pricey for what we had, but the food was ok. Also it's quite noisy, so not the venue for a quiet date!

I have visited istanbul restaurant on a night out with my friends and everything was excellent. First of all the lamb shish i had was full of flavour and so tender. Staff were super helpful. Definitely recommend everyone to try out this beautiful place and decide for yourselves.

We went for breakfast with my friend about an hour ago. It was a terrible situation. Breakfast did not arrive as we expected. The smell of detergent in the tomatoes was a different matter. We had to pay for the breakfast that we could not eat and leave. Moreover, they said they would not charge the service charge. Thank you. It was a terrible place because you did not charge the service charge.

Food was really tasty. Venue itself was great and staff were lovely. Only aspect that did disappoint me a little bit was the portion sizes. Ordered the Mediterranean breakfast which only came with 1 egg 1 sausage 1 fried potato thingy. Which is a bit deflating. I haven't ordered a £14 breakfast and got only 1 egg ever. Everything was tasty tho just wanted a bit more !

Best Sarma Beyti I’ve had (I’ve tried a few!) but the smallest portion of bread I’ve also ever had. A kebab is the same price but comes with salad. The Sarma Beyti should have a side salad too.

I've ordered delivery from this restaurant multiple times and finally got round to an in-person visit. Food & service was top notch - very generous portions, had to take half of it home! The decor and ambience is excellent too.

Not been for a while but gave it another go, mixed platters have halved and cost more, def won’t return , Divans in Finchley central is much better just further

I recently dined at Istanbul Restaurant and had an amazing experience. The warm, inviting atmosphere and beautiful decor make you feel like you’ve been transported to Turkey. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was outstanding. We started with a variety of mezze, all bursting with authentic flavors. My lamb kebab was tender and perfectly seasoned, while my companion's manti was delicious and rich. The baklava for dessert was the perfect ending, sweet and flaky. Istanbul Restaurant offers exceptional Turkish cuisine, a great ambiance, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious food, with a beautiful and elegant decor. The service was 10/10. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to special requests. Food was very fresh and extremely tasty. All the dishes I tried were clearly made with fresh and high quality ingredients, which I think puts Istanbul Finchley above their competitors. Incredible experience. The food was just yummy, absolutely delicious and very well cooked. Beautiful looking restaurant inside and very lovely decorated. The service was one of the best I have recieved, very attentive and polite. What more can I say except excellent with a capital "E" and will certainly be visiting again, when I'm hungry again as I'm absolutely stuffed right now having 2 deserts which i simply couldnt resist as they too were sooo yummy 🥰 😋

Between the superb service and excellent food, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The calamari starter was crispy and peppery with a melt in the mouth piece of squid in each ring. The Adana Kofte main was tasty and perfectly cooked. I even enjoyed the house red - soft on the palate and full on the nose

Perfect ambiance, I felt like I was on the streets of Istanbul Grand Bazaar. There are different motifs in every corner, the taste is very good, the service quality is excellent, the selfie corner is very stylish. The owner is very friendly and it is a stylish place with a quality environment that can be visited by the family.

First time ordering and won't be the last time. The hot mezè brunch was divine. So tasty. Price point right. My dog isn't happy though as the meal was just too good to share! Well done Chef's. Keep up the good work.

Honestly one of the best Turkish restaurants around. I held my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary there with 38 guests and everyone loved the food. The service was excellent and the team were all so friendly and welcoming. Really appreciated their level of attention and care. And the meze was excellent! Thank you so much.

Ordered a Greek Salad, and got a bowl full of peppers, with at most 4 pieces of tomatoes and cucumber. And a tiny bit of feta in order to make it “Greek”. It had yellow and red peppers which is not in a Greek salad. Service was poor, as they served starters without drinks being on the table. Also asked for bread, staff forgot all about it. Waited 15minutes for a piece of warm bread. Portions were small! Felt like I was on a diet from the lack of meat they put out on my plate. 2 spoonsfull of hummus and tzatziki to feed a family of 4 as a starter. Ridiculous. Rice was bland and the chicken was DRY. Overall restaurant needs much improving. Did not feel safe in the fact that the meat was fresh. Tasted like it came out the freezer and microwaved till unfrozen then cooked on a grill. Very unhappy.

First time ordering from Istanbul Finchley. Would definitely order again. We ordered lamb and chicken skewers. Delicious and cooked perfectly. It wasn't clear to me when we ordered but both came on a bed of rice with fresh salad. We also ordered the £22 Metze platter. Courgette fritters amazing as were falafels and feta triangles. Plenty of fresh bread came with this and lovely dips. There was plenty of food for 2 adults and 3 children. Some metze left over for breakfast tomorrow. Great value, friendly delivery and fresh, delicious home made food. Highly recommend!

Every time I come here I swear at myself for coming here again but get convinced by friends as gokyuzu is always busy! This is the last time ! The service is rubbish and the two female waiters make you feel extremely uncomfortable! They stand right behind you like melons and keep coming and asking if you want to order more or not. I was in the middle of eating when one of them came up and asked if I’ve finished. Really uncomfortable and they need customer service training! All they care about is tips and service charges. It’s as if they get commission for begging customers to order more and more! They were making two other sets of tables also feel uncomfortable with the greed and deadly stares they were giving! This, the meat stinks and was not edible, extremely chewy. I wa only able to eat the chicken. When it came to the bill, I asked to remove the service charge and the elder lady looked at me as if her eyes were about to pop out saying “why do u want to remove it”. I thought to myself EXCUSE ME, service charge is optional I want to remove it as I don’t want to pay it and it is OPTIONAL! You can certainly tell the difference between eating here and eating in tjis with the level of greed. Never coming here again, no wonder it’s always dead. Prefer gokyuzu but they are always busy

Food fantastic. Service fantastic. 6 of us spent 266£ so extremely surprised that two after dinner coffees were refused because kitchen closed. At 10 pm? One of the owners swans in, gives us a rather unfriendly look. We are all from the area originally and meet up regularly and have indeed eaten here before. Shame a lack of client consideration lets the whole experience down....for just 2 coffees.

The food was not as good as i have tried in plenty of other Turkish restaurants, The servings were small and the prices were high, but the service was really bad that ruined everything for me as soon as a lost waitress took us to another waitress who was having lunch and was extremely rude towards us as if we have disturbed a customer during their time. We had to ask both of the waitresses if there any problem.Cuz they were speaking in a different language in front of the customers who were waiting for them to assign us with a table. On top of that they lied to us about a table being booked when we asked for the table. But no body came to that or any to other similar tables till we finished and left.

The service is just outstanding, they forgot something from our order on Uber eats and within 10 mins one of their servers delivered it, amazing service and even better food! Excellent . Went for a late Sunday lunch Turkish style. Service excellent professional and friendly. Food delicious. All 4 of us had something different, I had a lamb tagine, very rich and filling, lovely . We will go again . Very large restaurant divided into sections . A little empty ( cold January!) but I am sure when full the place buzzes.

Lovely meal over an informal business dinner. I have fairly extensive allergies and the staff were fantastically attentive and considerate of this.

Four of us visited here in November and just randomly picked this place to eat as we were staying locally. I can't actually remember the name of the dish I had but it tasted fantastic! And all of the other meals were delicious too. I'm only disappointed that I was only there for a business trip & therefore may not get the opportunity to go back! The red wine was also lovely. We were too full for pudding, but given complimentary Baklava and Turkish Delight which was delightful. I really enjoyed walking in and seeing all of the kebabs made up and being cooked. It was all very clean. Lovely restaurant, thoroughly recommend.
