My friend Ranju recommended the place as she had already had a meal some time ago. We had chicken lollipops, aloo gobi matar, Kerala prawns and old style chicken biryani. The food was properly cooked and very well presented. We had a very friendly and professional service from three Staff members. Definitely, a place to be visited again 😀

Briefly came in for 2 cups of masala chai. Hot, spiced and delicious. The staff were very friendly and very happy to let us sit down just for chai. Highly recommend!

Samosa chaat was decent. But for a place called rotiCHAI the fact they served powdered tea and not proper cooked masala chai is a real joke. Even as far as tea options go they’ve got one desi style tea. And an English tea. Very disappointed. We were even told when sitting down we had the table for only a hour. Even though the whole restaurant was empty. So idk what their big rush was. Regardless we left after 10 mins of chaat. And then returning the disappointment they serve as tea desi chai.

We’ve been visiting Roti Chai for many years and it never disappoints. Great location, friendly and welcoming staff, yummy food and always consistent. Can’t ask for more...

The place is called Roti chai yet they don’t actually make proper chai. It’s boiling water and some crappy tea powder mix so they don’t even cook anything. The waiter even asked us to leave within one hour just because we were getting chai and chaat. Such a disappointing experience.

My wife and I had a wonderful evening in the Dining Room. Efficient, friendly service and incredible food. The Raan was one of the best things i have ever eaten.

I don't know why they divide the food into two floors 😂 Underneath biryani and chicken nuggets, but no samosa Above samosa, but no chicken nuggets 🤦‍♀️ But the food is excellent, delicious, and the service is good. It requires reservations during the seasons, and do not go alone, but it is beautiful.

Good food but really bad service. We ordered our starters and main course and there was a gap of 45 minutes between the starters and mains after we finished our starters. On asking, they said they forgot we had ordered

Visiting from Toronto, Roti Chai was recommended to us for great Indian Street Food. We had the chicken lollipops, Pani Puri, Bombay Bhel, Papri Chaat and the Railway Lamb. The service staff and Management were friendly and the food was amazing. We would highly recommend. Great vibe in the restaurant .

Roti Chai is a cool spot for Indian street food with a buzzing vibe. The small plates were packed with flavor, though the portions are a bit small. The mains were decent and enjoyable. Service was quick, and the staff were super friendly, which made the experience enjoyable. Keep in mind that you leave smelling like spices hahahah

While the flavors were authentic and rich, the dishes were a bit too spicy for my taste, which made it hard to fully enjoy them. The presentation of the food was great, and the portions were decent. The service was efficient, and the staff was friendly, making the overall dining experience pleasant. If you enjoy bold, spicy flavors, this is a great spot to check out.

Terrible service – they repeatedly claim the food will be ready in half an hour, yet an hour later, you're still waiting. To make matters worse, some dishes are in the warmer within 10 minutes while others take much longer, leaving you with a mix of cold and warm food when it’s time to eat. Despite requesting spicy dishes, the food lacks any heat, and the portions are tiny. Overall, the food is bland, tasteless, and disappointing. This is an experience I cannot recommend.

Service is amazing and decor too. Monday is only street food day so worth noting. As a South Asian, I would say that the food isn’t authentic and lacked some flavour but may be suitable for those who want to try Indian food.

We had the street food menu upstairs. Food was so delicious we ordered more of the same - especially papri chaat and pain puri. The vegetarians and meat eaters in our group were well catered to. Service was fast attentive and very friendly. Great value too especially considering the location tucked away in a little street near selfridges. Highly recommend

The style, interior decor, cleanliness and atmosphere here is good. There’s two options available - street food (sharing plates menu) and the regular menu. The food is excellent but came warm (not hot). Definitely the butter chicken is recommended & also we tried Dhaniya Murgh which was delicious as well (green spices - coriander). The service was generally good, but would prefer to have the services charges/tips be truly optional.

The food selection is great and the cost is very reasonable. This is for the street food part which is the upstairs. They also have a full dining section for the floor below. The main bit is that the food all tastes very good. A good alternative to places like Dishoom.

Roti Chai is one of my go-to restaurants in Marble Arch – I’ve been here many times, and the menu never disappoints! The ground-level Street Kitchen is my favorite, offering delicious, casual bites full of authentic flavors. For something more refined, the lower ground floor has a beautiful fine dining area with a different menu and a great ambiance. I recently went with my work colleagues, and the experience was fantastic as always. The service was attentive, and the food was incredibly flavourful – every dish was a hit! Highly recommend Roti Chai for anyone looking for a spot with consistently amazing food and great service.

Very buzzy street food restaurant, with rapid service to table. Not a romantic, quiet place, but perfect for when you want a light bite or something more substantial.

Nice place to have desi street food. They are really tasty, but the mains, the one we ordered are totally blended with no taste at all. The service is quick and good, and the team is all smiling and nice. The street food is really good but are small portion and bit pricy, but probably due to the location. It is located at the end of Oxford circus off Selfidges, behind M&S and HBL, near Marble Arch station.

Food wasn't that great, taste wasn't there and didnt fill us up had to eat elsewhere in addition. The biryani was very bland, litteraly boiled rice with some food colouring and fried onions ontop, with 2/3 small chicken pieces. The chicken curry was 70% potatoes, 30% chicken pieces where is the value for money? Was average in taste, like a uni student had made it really. The papri chaat had soo much potato, the balance was too off. The spicy wings, the biryani raita sauce and the chicken bun burgers was good. The Nepali waiter was friendly. Paid a small fortune for this all, and still hadn't filled us which was dissapointing.

Wonderful, delightful Indian meal that hit the spot for us after visiting the Frameless Art exhibition. We ordered the chicken lollipops, daal, Pani puri and the chicken biryani . Daal, chicken biryani were outstanding. Pani puri.... Something different to try with an explosion of flavorful. Not too impressed by chicken lollipops which were essentially fried chicken with a tasty coriander/ chili sauce. The lollipops were not hot enough temperature wise. However, other than this small critique, service was professional, kind and friendly. Discretionary service charge already included in bill at 12.5%. Thank you to the kind, attentive hostess who noticed my friend had difficulty going down the stairs to get to the bathrooms. She immediately escorted her to the elevator hidden by a curtain.

The style, interior decor, cleanliness and atmosphere here is really good. There’s two options available - the smaller, street food style/sharing plates menu on the ground level (which is what we tried) and the regular restaurant dining room below ground level. There was a bit of a wait for the food but I personally don’t mind, as I’d rather they take their time and maintain good quality. We sampled a variety of dishes (lamb curry, paneer salad, naan, biriyani, chickpea curry, raita) - overall food taste and quality was average. I think the price is a bit too much for the quantity and quality. Although I appreciate them openly mentioning on the menu that GMO ingredients are used, I’m really surprised and shocked at how abundant GMOs are being used across restaurants in the UK. I probably won’t be returning due to this fact alone, so if they can remove GMOs altogether, that would definitely appeal to more health conscious customers. The service was generally good, but would prefer to have the services charges/tips be truly optional versus buried on the bill (it’s not North America, after all). Overall, not bad, but not spectacular either.

Excellent Indian restaurant, two dining options, a la carte, downstairs and more informal upstairs. I had dinner a la carte and the experience was fantastic. Also excellent service. Many options so there will always be something you like.

The food was really tasty even if I found a hair in it - they offered replacement and it took it off the bill. The service was courteous and the environment really cozy.
