The best restaurants in Dacorum East of England

It is so lovely to see a lovely bakery with items all freshly baked on the premises. The pastry on all their range is amazing, tasty and just the right side of crisp. The fillings are plentiful and delicious. The cake range is eye popping with beautifully balanced ingredients. Lovely rolls and fresh bread. Staff are welcoming and polite and on dry days you can sit outside and watch the day go by. Now, I will talk about the coffee. This unfortunately was a great disappointment. Despite two of us asking for stronger versions, it was to be frank like dishwater. I don't enjoy saying this but I was too embarrassed to say anything at the time. Do not let this distract you from the bakery itself. It is treat to have it on the precinct.

How hard can it be to get hot tea? Barely warm. Come on..

Great place the best by far but I would’ve cooked the sausages first then battered them.also say yes to salt and ginger on chips when ordering online but there’s hardly any on there. Though they would’ve added the salt and vinegar.

Waited an hour and a half for main meal. Pizza is supposed to be ‘fast food’ They were too busy doing takeaways which they were prioritising. Kids were starving! Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Honestly the best chicken stop in Hemel. Smashes every one out the park. Flavour is out of this world. If you're in Hemel. You will not beat Pepes.

I WAS a regular customer (I o rarely order take away however i have ordered with this establishment for many years and usually the food is good. However tonight it was appaling chewy crispy beef. Stale salt and pepper chips and no duck, duck and mushroom dish. I called to explain the issues. I was met with 'i cant refund you, you need to show me the food'. I explained they were more than welcome to come and check the food which I had promptly thrown in the bin. They declined. Again reiterating they would not provide a refund. I have never complained or been refunded for any take away ever. Which should go to explain how bad this meal actually was. Really disappointed. Won't be ordering here again.

I ordered on Uber eats and 1 item was missing rang the shop and they said it is in the bag I said it’s not in the bag but he didn’t listen and the driver was there own delivery driver who delivered the food

We booked this restaurant on a recommendation and whilst we had a lovely time as a family the restaurant disappointed many of us. The service was very slow although to be fair it was very busy but there didn’t seem to be enough staff. On a few occasions we had a long wait between courses, plate clearing, drinks, etc and had to flag a staff member down. When the main course arrived it looked absolutely delicious but it was clear it had sat on a hot plate for a while and was only warm rather than piping hot which was a shame as it’s not a cheap menu. Overall we enjoyed our afternoon but would recommend the restaurant employ more staff and get the food out faster so the diner has the best experience. It’s also very overpriced!

This has got to be the slowest KFC I've ever been to. They also lock the doors at 9pm forcing you to use the even slower drive through

Raja from the Hemel branch was very kind and helpful over the phone with my order and processing the discount as the online service was not working properly for me food and service was great :)
