The best restaurants in Epping Forest East of England

Unfortunately received a hostile approach I am black. think twice before going if you are of a different culture. What you should of asked is what was the experience I had when I entered your pub but instead you still replied to my review with a hostile approach disappointing. My review still stands.

Really nice atmosphere on Christmas Eve

Unbelievable food fresh and hot too excited to order again

"I was disappointed with my recent visit to Nando's Loughton. The service was poor, with our waiter being rude and taking our belongings from the table without permission. The food portions were also inadequate. We ordered a meal for two, but the chicken was small and the portion size was not enough for one person, let alone two. We had to order an additional meal, which was inconvenient and added to our bill. The small chicken portions reminded me of a kid's meal, which was not what I expected from a popular restaurant chain. I hope Nando's will take my feedback into consideration and make improvements to their service and food portions."

I met my friend in Costa yesterday. We only had drinks. But it was nice in there. Clean and not too busy. Hopefully, we'll be able to visit again soon.

A group of us retired Corporate Bankers..all retired, meet every few months for a moan about the state of the country, or anything that takes our fancy at the time..always light heartedly! only two of us made it this time, but we wiil be back..for this is a traditional cozt pub..with excellnt menu and atmosphere: Prces..don't know how they do it and the portions! I had toasted brie on a salad bed..my friend, who lives in Waltham Cross and uses this pub for dining and had recommended, had a ginormous prawn cocktail..both excellent. Shouldnt have had the starter as he suggested the speciality..steak and kidney pie..cooked as it should of old, in a pie dish..enough meat and gravy for two pies, with a lovely flaky pastry top..chips and peas..delicious. I had ice cream fo a sweet, ..2 pints of lager and two glasses of lemonade as wr werr both driving..Top Knotch..Definately come again with friends..Many thanks

This pub has a great view and is perfect after a walk in the forest. The staff here accommodated our rather large, and sometimes demanding! group, perfect. Emma was fantastic at looking after us in a friendly, hard working way. In fact all the staff were brilliant. This is possibly one of the most Christmassy pubs I’ve ever been in. Food was good and our group had a perfect Sunday Xmas meal there. Definitely recommended.

Living in this area over forty years we have used this pub since it was a proper pub and witnessed all the changes throughout the years . We arrived at 1pm to find there was no ale available. All four pumps were turned off. The staff appeared to be disinterested about any availability of having any put on. Is this through mismanagement, incompetence or is this pub not wanting to cater for all customers needs? Usually some ales may be out or not ready but to have none is mot acceptable.

It really does look inviting from the outside as I walked past it.

I added garlic dippers to my order instead of chicken strips by mistake which was my fault but then had called instantly once made the order to change it, I had to call 5 times before anyone answered, I was then told they couldn’t change it because they had already put it in the oven so I accepted this, once the order had arrived I realised they had got the order wrong & in actual fact had not even sent us garlic dippers at all so they could have changed them in the first place for chicken strips as I had ordered a deal bundle so would not have changed the cost, at this point I called the branch & was told they would now send chicken strips but was very rude & just hung up the phone, I then received a call 10 minutes later saying they now can’t send the chicken strips because it was not on my order, I then tried to explain it’s a deal on there website & they was also a option so it would not make a difference they became very argumentative & at this point felt they was just being awkward because they did not want to rectify there mistake, would not recommend using this branch especially don’t deal with them personally as are rude & hard to speak to, they could all take a class on customer service in my opinion being a business owner myself I would not have anyone of them work for my company

Nice breakfast. Not the cheapest though.

Had an average meal and got completely robbed. Went with a group of three and we all got £100 parking charge on our cars. Went at night when the signs were not marked properly and no staff mentioned the parking on entry. Ultimately this company got the bill paid plus an extra £100 per head on parking fees. I am happy to amend this review if they can make it right. If your reading this now you can assume the above never happened. Be careful of this place as you could leave like me.... Feeling scammed

Went for a Christmas meal with 10+ people in a private room. Great food and service
