The best restaurants in Harpenden West St Albans East of England

Long time customer, the food is always fresh and tasty. There was a technical glitch with the online order I placed recently, but Jack the manager did everything he could to make it right. It's probably best to place orders via phone or in person, rather than online. Totally worth it, staff is great and the sushi is excellent. 5 stars. Will buy again.

Top marks to The White Horse for yesterday’s fantastic meal. Six of us celebrated being a family here on December 23 and the service, food,ambience were all ( as usual!) faultless. We would like to thank, especially, Jamie, Bronte and Dan: you always make our weekly visit here a total pleasure and really, we can’t thank you enough. You were also able to make really good room for us on a very busy day, as I had only booked for 4. Heartfelt thanks again. We will be back!

Food was amazing staff where so lovely

The prawns and fish, both of which are at the more expensive end of the menu, were - while tasty enough - overpriced. Both were filled out with an excess of sauce and the prawns very heavily battered, but not much actual prawn at the core of the dish. Definitely presentation over substance.

There st.peter burger was easily the best and the mouth watering which i ever had,i been 1st time to meeting room it made my evening with delicious food and great drink with marci smash thank you….DO VISIT!!!!

Brilliant curry, even made a garlic chilli chicken masala despite not being on the menu and was spot on. Good atmosphere and good price, cannot complain

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The George. Jess H took care of everything with such precision and care, ensuring that all our orders were perfect and delivered seamlessly. I’m usually hesitant to leave reviews, but this visit truly stood out—it was nothing short of exceptional. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, paired with Jess’s outstanding service, made it an experience worth sharing. A big thank you to The George and Jess for making it so memorable!

Staff are all very welcoming which gives the pub a nice atmosphere. Food is a very reasonable price and tastes great!

A good pizza express venue - possibly the best restaurant location in Harpenden. It’s pizza express so you know what you’re getting; consistently good pizza. It’s great for kids (good menu and colouring in available - also good for kids parties). Service is good. It’s worth using the loyalty app since it offers good discounts and makes paying easy.
