The best restaurants in St Edmundsbury East of England

Absolutely lovely and amazing staff. Manager/Owner on the other hand will kick you out after spending £300-£400 and won't even bother coming to tell you why! He's more then happy to let the security come and tell us to leave without a reason. Manager/Owner said he was bust talking to other people out the back. So avoided giving us a pathetic reason as to why he got other people to tell us to leave, even though the rest of the bar was making more noise then we were!! Avoid like the plague!!!! The bar staff and service staff are second to none! Cannot thank the bar staff and service staff enough!! They go above and beyond to make your night great!!

Foods always cooked fresh, friendly staff who will help on the self service machines. Staff always tell you if its going to be a wait while they cook your food fresh. Lovely staff

Cafe defo deserves more than a 3.5 The all day breakfast is one of the best in bury and for a fiver you can't compare Staff are sound and it's a chilled vibe in the cafe, can't complain for a supermarket

Three times now we have had a takeaway and three times we have got home and not had what we have ordered. We will check next time I would suggest you do the same. Having said that it’s a nice pizza and not a bad deal and the staff are ok.

Wow! Ordered a jacket potato, pretty sure I've received a new potato. Beyond awful.

Ordered online as stated 35-45mins delivery. When ordered this changed to an hour. That came and went so called to see how much longer as we had children that were now very hungry. Was told 10-15mins as it was on its way and if it hadn’t turned up by then to speak to the manager. Another half an hour later we call again and the guy puts the phone down on us. We’d been polite etc, we just wanted a realistic time that it would be delivered so no need to put the phone down. It eventually turned up 2hrs 22mins later. All cold. We’re 8 mins drive away. If they had been honest we would’ve collected no problem. We requested a partial refund as £50 spent on cold food that was hours late is not acceptable and they refused. We won’t be using this Chinese again as this is the second time we’ve been treated like this. The first time we were missing the wraps for the duck and they wouldn’t respond at all and it had taken forever to get what did turn up. But they’ve had another chance now, we’ll Give our money elsewhere in future.

A tasteless fish and chips.. dry chips... had to fight to get a mug of tea. The outer kitchen (where the teas and coffees are made) looked in great need of a high pressure hose... The young woman that took our order was short, fat and spotty, totally unsmiling and dedicated to being unhelpful... grumpy and snappy when asked a direct question.. My partner ordered a salad.. a bland and tasteless salad. We were allowed mugs for our tea at the third time of asking... one was dirty.. What a disaster!

Food - horrible Drinks ran out of most ordered one finally but came nothing like the picture to have kids sprinkles on top not a cherry. AwfulBad atmosphere 50% off pizza night they had nothing but gluten free bases with limited toppings and looked nothing like advertised looked like a £1 frozen pizza from Iceland at best. Disappointment. Shall not be returning anytime soon!!!!!!!

Took 2 bites out of my chicken wrap and tasted a jelly like texture, looked down to see it was completely raw! I feel so sick and I am most likely going to get food poisoning now, rang them up and they gave a full refund and said the reason it's raw is because the staff were trying to get it done quickly! Also the cheesy chips were cold and hard as a rock Never ordering from here again, I feel so traumatised and sick knowing I've eaten raw chicken!

Website makes this look a lit better than it is in reality. Sandwiches, panini and toasties bought in already made and poor choice. Nothing vegetarian. Jacket potato was old and reheated. Cup of tea was acceptable . Would not eat there again.

Me and my boyfriend asked for chicken roast and a beef roast got told they run out of chicken so I had hunters chicken. We spacifically asked for horse radish with beef roast when served as everytime it comes about 10/15 mins after meal by that time food has been eaten my boyfriend cant eat roast beef without horse radish like crumble and custard it just goes ..picking our knives and forks THEY WERE FILTHY!!!! I PICKED LOADS OUT LOOKING FOR CLEAN UTENSILS !!! THEN MEAL ARRIVES PLATES ON THE TABLE AND WAS TOLD THEY RUN OUT OF HORSE RADISH SO MY BOYFRIEND BACKED THE MEAL ASKED FOR MONEY BACK ITS A SUPERMARKET FOR GODS SAKE RUN OUT OF CHICKEN RUN OUT OF HORSE RADISH HOW??? THERES SHELVES OF THE STUFF 10 FOOT AWAY COMMON!!!!

Best fish and chips we have had for ages freshly cooked it was to die for the fish was so meaty and the chips delicious we find it easier to pre book and then just pick it up

After reading the previous reviews I got a little worried but can not fault the service was within the time frame given and I live outside of Haverhill. Will definitely order again in the future
