The best restaurants in Handside Welwyn Hatfield East of England

Lovely staff only complaint is contractors parking in all the disabled bays without blue badges. Difficult to walk from the other end of car park to reception. There was bu I’lllding work going on over the road, nothing to do with the hotel, who took up parking places from 8am

We haven’t been here for some time as old manager was awful and so was food. However today we thought we’d try again and wow what a turn around. Everyone including the manager were lovely. They couldn’t have been more welcoming. Greg served us and what a total delight cheerful, efficient, polite and friendly. He is a real asset to your company. Our food was lovely and no issues catering for the allergies in our party. They went above and beyond. We shall now make this our go to place when we are in the town.

Lovely brunch, great drinks and scott was amazing 👌🏻 highly reccomended, quick service and very attentive. The drinks were spot on nice food and the egg was perfectly cooked.

Had an appointment at 11am to see audiologist. On arrival not one member of the three staff working acknowledged me. I took a seat in the waiting area where for 25 minutes those 3 members of staff walked past me numerous times. No eye contact, good morning or indeed any interest as to why I was there. I find it the height of rudeness to ignore any customer that enters your premises!! After my appointment, which was half and hour late, I left without feeling the desire to shop.

Service excellent food good nice selection of cocktails. Will frequent this restaurant. Can sit outside.

Very impressed by service of Sonal and her colleagues The food and coffees were above expectation and exceptional for a bank holiday. Had checked in on Starbucks and the choices not to our taste so this was even more of a treat. Highly recommend. December 2024 have visited a couple of times when in Welwyn. Quality very good and the range of choices even better. Good food and coffee with lovely staff. Highly recommend

Food was terrible did not have a decent menu since changed from beefeater 3 couples got up and left without ordering after reading the menu, no chicken left so burger, pasta or pizza on the meal deal as we had already paid for it and had travelled 500 miles so just wanted something to eat

Amazing cafe, the coffee was delicious, the warm ambience from staff, make this quirky cafe worth returning to. Thank you Brigi and Jamie for such wonderful service. Keep up the superb work ladies☕️🍽️🍵

Favourite place for a coffee, partly because of it's sunny position. Always busy with a nice atmosphere. Veggie sandwich options bit limited.

If you want to save your life, then don't ever go there. I ordered a wrape meal and it was clearly undercooked. In meal I ordered peri peri fries for which they charged extra but there was almost zero peri peri. When I told the owner about this, he was so rude and misbehaved. I will never go or recommend this restaurant to anyone !

Place is always filthy, long queues and poor service Lady manager is rude and just doesn’t listen to how you would like your drink made. Requested my drink to be not too hot 120 degrees due to my mouth blistering when I returned the drink the manager laughed and said oh I thought you said 140 (was hotter than 140 closer to 160) Second drink made was also to hot had to go back and ask for cold milk …. Short staffed and the staff that are working look so miserable It’s such a shame as before Covid it was the best around

Loved my toasted Panini snack after my walk in Sherrards Wood, made extra enjoyable by the best coleslaw I’ve ever tasted, why no coleslaw now?

Love this place! Always accommodating. We often turn up last minute for a bunch & always a happy face greets us. New management team has made all the difference. Totally recommend a visit.
