The lady that served us (Beth) was very professional, she asked us if we would like additional food, but did not try to force anything on us that we didn’t want, she seemed to be generally caring, talking to us not just treating us like the next customer. It was a pleasure to be served by her.

Amazing vibes , a wide range of beers, all of them very good and a staff was kind and very helpful. First and best british pub experience. Would recommend!

Very aggressive behaviour from one of the cocktail makers behind the bar (wearing a flowery shirt and sunglasses). Needless to say, hostile service and I am never going back. After waiting 40 minutes, I decided to leave without my cocktail. I understand that it takes time to make cocktails especially when it is busy. But what I don't expect is, after enquiring about where my cocktail was, having a glass waved in my face saying "Here it is. Your cocktail is coming next" only for my cocktail to never appear. This happened several times and, after remonstrating with the cocktail maker, he became very aggressive insisting that my cocktail was coming. This is no way to treat your customers. I don't mind waiting an hour for a cocktail if the staff treat me properly. What you should have done is accept that you were understaffed and apologise for the wait (maybe offer some free olives or something?) instead of getting so defensive. This is a local bar, not some bar in Shoreditch, and you are not going to build up any loyal customer base with service like this. Maybe get your staff to do some work experience at the Elderfield so they can learn how to treat your customers properly?
