The best restaurants in Bunhill Islington London

We were staying at a 5 star hotel just down the road but the the breakfast was luke-warm and limited on choice so we decided to find somewhere open on a Sunday morning so took a walk to this cafe as it had quite a good rating on a swell known search engine . The person serving was doing lots of cleaning which inspired confidence in us that this would be an okay place to eat.The vegetarian breakfast that we both had was both hot and tasty and it was the first time I have had bubble and squeak for breakfast since childhood days. Very nice and good value for money. One little criticism, the woman serving and the man doing the cooking were very polite but never smiled once, admittedly it was a very grey day weatherwise. To be greeted with a smile makes so much difference and in my experience would attract more customers. But overall very nice and thank you both.

Marido y yo nos mudamos a la zona recientemente y queríamos amar este lugar tanto, porque está muy cerca de nuestro piso. Nos encanta el café, y compramos algunos granos para usar en nuestra máquina de café expreso en casa. Fue tan agrio. Intentamos cambiar la molienda, para obtener una extracción más lenta, pero aún así agria. No podíamos beberlo. El marido se llevó los frijoles de vuelta esperando que fuera sólo un mal lote o tal vez podría probar un asado diferente, pero el propietario (? ) era tan defensivo y grosero mi marido acaba de pedir un reembolso. El propietario entonces lo reprendió por no pedir un reembolso lo suficientemente amablemente antes de finalmente entregar las £ 8. No volveremos nunca, lo que es una pena, ya que teníamos una buena cosa de pastelería de arce de ellos, pero no compensa el horrible café agrio y el terrible servicio al cliente.

Muy caro. Tenía un ceviche que era pequeño y no justificaba el precio de £ 16 y 3 vasos de 125 ml de vino de la casa muy básico a £ 8 la copa. El servidor parecía perplejo cuando me negué a pagar un 12. 5% de tarifa de servicio cuando me senté afuera y esperé 10 minutos por cada copa de vino. Qué chisporroteo.

It is very disorganized with little care for the interior. They call themselves an Italian restaurant, but it doesn't look like one. The employees do not seem very satisfied with their working conditions, which is visible and unpleasant for the customers. The food is not fresh

We always order at this cafe, food is so tasty and always comes to the workplace quick. the staff members that man the phones are rude, when asking Karen about an order she past the phone to Shelia who started arguing and laughing down the phone, instead of going back and fourth all Shelia had to do was send me a jacket potato with cheese and beans because WHAT person in their mind would pay £8 for just cheese and beans, so to Shelia, learn some customer service cheers :)

La vieja estación de la calle está pasando por muchos cambios y supongo que los clientes no están. El personal es feliz, optimista y conocedor de los ingredientes, etc.

Myself and husband were in London for our anniversary, whilst out and about we were both hungry and came across this little gem. Very small but does provide seating for a few people. The staff were very friendly and there was a wide range of foods available at reasonable prices. Fantastic little place to grab a bite on the go.

- They cancelled our booking after being 5 minutes late (despite having empty tables in the restaurant!) just wanted us to feel bad (power trip) - took 40 minutes to order drinks and food - had to ask for a cooler for our white wine (thought this would be expected if you’re purchasing a bottle) - so many bugs as the windows were open, there were so many on our table and in our drinks and they didn’t close them in - were asked if we wanted Parmesan / pepper on our pasta meals as they were delivered to the table and waited 15 minutes before we realised they were not going to come and give us Parmesan/pepper! Dish was getting cold so we tucked in anyway! Closing comment: Quality of food was good, but service definitely could be improved upon, was just disappointing considering the price of the meals. Overall, if you want to pay for good dinner at a decent price, go elsewhere!

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Essenziale ma funzionale. Pulito. Zona centrale e ben servita. Vicino alla vivace Shoredich, alla City ed alla Londra classica.

Sometimes does get busy, took 2-5 mins for drinks on weekday afternoon.

Such a great bar. Really well run. Great design - the kind of place John Milton from Devil's Advocate would love. Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious pizza. Even if we move to a new office, it'll remain our local :)

Stopped here whilst on business. Good range of small plates. Very quiet as it was a Tuesday afternoon. Good WiFi and range of coffees.

Me and my husband have been going for years, actually where we went on our first date. We went today - it was so freezing cold that we had to keep our coats on. So cold that other tables were leaving. When we ordered starters we were told they'd run out of potatoes (bearing in mind this was 7pm on a Saturday night) so couldn't get what we wanted. so because it was so cold in the restaurant we had the starters (corn and guac with chips) that were available and asked for the bill deciding not to stay for mains. When the bill came (corn, Guac and 2x cocktails) we asked for the service charge to be removed and the waitress had such a hissy fit about it. We've recommended this place as the best mexican restaurant in London for years but honestly don't bother.
