The best restaurants in Merton London

Order never arrived after over an hour of waiting. I contacted the restaurant 4 times and was assured each time it would be only 10 minutes away. The last time I called the man on the phone was purposefully obtrusive and told me that I had to cancel my order as the driver had tried to call me which is completely untrue. Shocking service, look on justeat at the reviews and you will see similar comments from others.

Do not order from here food was cold when delivered the cheese cakes were not cheesecakes and they were frozen spoken to very rudely by manager Just go to another restaurant

i cross the road exited Kfc to think ill get a better quality family meal . what a disappointment. got home with a family chicken neL 8 pieces of cold n pleasant taste n cold cardboard chips

Don’t Waste your time disgusting experience there gave 10 fries in kids meal the tiny box not even half full save your time and money still hungry after chicken pretty tasteless.

No estoy seguro de lo que está pasando con las malas críticas en el pasado. He probado comida china terrible de otros lugares de la zona y esta es nuestra comida para llevar más cercana y regular. El pescado y las patatas fritas son geniales y el chino también es bueno. Las tostadas de langostinos son especialmente buenas y no cuestan a la tierra como muchos otros lo hacen por aquí para menos sabor. Inténtalo.

I had an awful experience at this kfc. I found a hair in my food, which is completely unacceptable. It ruined the entire meal, and I couldn't eat after that. Clearly, hygiene standards here are questionable, and it's disappointing because I had expected better. Definitely won't be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

Having placed our order, which was a struggle as the guy didn't appear to know his own menu, we were told that the order would take an hour and a half. As such I asked to cancel the order and have my money returned. As a result I was promised delivery with 60 to 70 minutes with the consequence that if it did not arrive in that time, we would be reimbursed our money. We agreed to continue although I emphasized that this was not about the money but about a family celebration of my eldest sons exam results. 70 minutes later I received a phone call to be told that "we have done it" and that the driver would be with us in five minutes. After fifteen minutes of waiting and no driver arriving I phoned again to be told that they would phone him to try and track him down. Bizarre given that I live so close to this place. After one hour and three quarters the driver finally appeared stating that he had left the shop just five minutes previously, so everything I'd been told was a pre-empted lie. I asked for the reimbursement and was now told that the guy didn't have the authority to do that but I could have 20% off my next order. I was also told that whatever else, I was about to eat some delicious food. Turns out that was just another of their lies. Rubbish service No qualms about lying to their customer Really mediocre, underwhelming food. Avoid this place.

Acabo de desayunar ahí, frío. Tuve que tragarlo. Típico Wetherspoon nunca aprenden. El lugar estaba muerto, probablemente por eso.

they are never open any more but say they are. phone no answer, just eat cancels orders... have they closed down? (tried to order multiple times over the past month, have been a loyal customer for 3 years, I really loved their food!)

Been to other GBK’s but wasn’t impressed with this one. Food was ok but not great. Place needed a good clean, table and seats sticky. Had to get a passcode from waitress to access their toilets but when I did they were like a badly kept public toilet, really quite rank. Not what you expect in a restaurant

As of December 2023 Roxy's (which we have been visiting since the 1970s) became Punjab Palace. The food is the same, the prices have gone up (vegetable samosas were 40p, are now £1.00) but to be fair they probably needed to. Prices had stayed too cheap for too long. Thankfully that horrible snapping/shouting manager has GONE!!! I used to refer to him as Gnarls Barkey because he was always gnarling and barking at the staff. The menu has expanded and become more like a "normal restaurant" menu. The pricing is still very reasonable though and the food is as good as ever. The tamarind chutney was the highlight, tasting like never before - so fresh and fruity! Glad my favourite Southall eatery has not lost its shine.

Under new management Was just passing lovely tapas run by very nice friendly people . Very good atmosphere. Was quite full for a Monday night.

Visité el café de agua azul M & S hoy para un desayuno. Casi cambiamos de opinión como bastante ocupados y las mesas no se habían despejado pero no habían tenido un desayuno m&s desde que solíamos tener uno en la tienda Charlton que siempre fue encantador, pero han dejado de hacerlo allí ahora. En primer lugar no sabíamos qué hacer para conseguir nuestro té ya que no se le dijo nada. Encontramos una mesa sin despejar que la gente de la mesa de al lado nos despejaron para sentarnos. Cuando llegó el desayuno era horrible la grasa bajo huevos escalfados de tocino cocido que parecían 2 huevos duros. Una tostada que no había visto una tostadora horribles salchichas y patatas rostis suaves no crujientes tomates pequeños ni siquiera cocinados y la comida era Luke caliente. Nunca volveremos a este restaurante. Ojalá el café rojo no hubiera cerrado un delicioso desayuno.

Otro gran restaurante en un sitio que no funciona por muchos. lugares anteriores han desaparecido. Tienen otro sitio en ESHER que está lleno, pero que es el lugar preferido de una multitud joven y unas cuantas futbolistas. Por desgracia Wimbledon Village no funcionaba. No será el primero y dudo que será la última para probar.
