The best restaurants in Ellesmere Port Town Cheshire West and Chester North West

One of the best restaurants in UK so far. We literally visited thrice a week it was so good. Loved the quality of food ! Amazing.

Staff really friendly, best chips, as not cooked from frozen. Always accommodate your tastes as we like our battered fish cooked a bit longer

Sadly the worst breakfast I've been delivered. Came late ! Rubber black pudding,hash browns. Very few beans. Toast like rubber. I think they must have gone out of their way to make food has bad as it was! The one star is for the sausage, it was nice

I've just had the worst jalfrezi and chicken Balti ever absolutely horrible and the rest of the order was swimming in grease ,sorry light of India but your standards have slipped drastically

Me and my boyfriend came Saturday evening one hour before closing. I half expected them to turn us away but they were really welcoming and let us choose a table. The food and service were both exceptional. We were served by Layton and Mike who were so friendly, not just to us but to every table they served. So much so they were offered £10 cash tip by someone (which they politely refused). Will definitely be returning.

Waited for ages for cold food ,staff couldn't care,one member sitting doing nothing ,would not recommend this place.

I think we visited here on an off day - I hope so. The place itself is devoid of atmosphere. A bit like a school dining room of the 60s. Poor furniture. The staff mostly very pleasant but I think too few and so the service was poor. Very long gaps between visits and some dirty plates left ages after others had been collected. This was not a problem as the conversation with friends was good but not good for a normal visit. The food really should have all been returned. This place now has food at the more expensive end of the average restaurant and for what we ALL received was heavily overpriced. The quality was very poor at the most 4/10. s it happened I had a 50% voucher which brought the price to a realistic level, The food still very badly prepared and not a patch on another Prezzo I regularly visit. Certainly not on the revisit chart.

Fresh and delicious gluten free options! As a gluten free spirit, I am always on the hunt for something tasty and light. This place delivered! Staff were super helpful and friendly, food was delicious and served really fast. Exactly what you want after hours of Christmas shopping. They even made suggestions which is just so welcomed. Absolutely I will be back ;)

Ate here with family & although our waitress was good & the food arrived quickly, the dishes were grossly over priced considering the portion sizes & lack of meat. For example the Pad Thai chicken & prawn (item no. 48) was full of fillers (cheap stuff) like noodles & beansprouts & had only 4 small prawns & a few tiny (1cm) pieces of chicken. Considering the price of chicken (£4 for a 2kg chicken) & prawns (£2 for 250 gm) in a supermarket, I calculated the total food material cost to be less than £1 - which means the profit margin (at the sales price of £15) is above 1400% ! This clearly shows the extreme greed of the Wagamama owners because normal restaurants typically operate at margins of 20 to 100%. Of course, Wagamama will argue that the labour cost is excluded in this calculation but considering that the food arrived within 10 minutes, the labour cost at £12 per hour works out to around £2. Another dish, Yaki Soba chicken & prawn was again all noodles with very little meat and looking through the reviews I can see customers in 2021 & 2022 complaining about high cost & low meat content. These overpriced dishes are a sign of the cynical attitude & strategy of the owners to maximise profits instead of trying to delight customers with good value - so that they will come back for more in the future. Considering that most customers visiting Cheshire Oaks visit from near & far to get bargains on designer brands, and may not visit that often, the owners strategy appears to be working and I wouldn't be surprised if other restaurants in Cheshire Oaks have the same strategy ! I certainly will not be eating at Wagamama again.

This was unfortunately a disappointing visit. Upon arrival we were sat in a hurried manner and once seated discovered a very dirty knife. Then we waited for our drinks for 20 minutes when there were four members of staff available to make them. The food was the best part about the visit however this experience has put me off returning in the future.
