The best restaurants in Ellesmere Port Town Cheshire West and Chester North West

We were on a charity bike ride, and had organised with Julie the Landlady for lunch. Julie and her team were magnificent. Their hospitality and kindness were second to none. We can't thank them enough for their support. I thoroughly recommend the Duke of Wellington.

Once again Nicci on the bar greeted me with a warm smile. Took my food and drinks order with her refreshing attitude, simply made me feel welcome. The food took a while to come, full rack of ribs with all the trimmings but boy was it worth the wait. The bones slid out of the meat, the chips and onion rings were crispy and golden. Highly recommended place to visit, food, drinks and ambience are off the scale. Actually took the time to thank Gill (chef) for the food with regard to the quality and presentation. Will DEF use here again, thanks ladies.

Absolutely fabulous, had the chips with salsa and cheese sauce etc and they were so filling and tasty. I don't live nearby to Ellesmere Port at all but when I do go once in a while, I make sure to visit this stand for food vs anywhere else because it's such good quality and value!

The nicest takeout never had an issue food is always top notch and quality food the flavours are summit else and the blue cheese dip is so nice defo recommend to people and will keep being a regular customer 🙂

Came to the market for the first time today, a few eateries but we chose Laura’s, lovely bacon and egg toastie x 2, one tea and one coffee, just over £8 which is excellent value, will eat again when next at the market.

Food great However cash only and not warned of this when booking or on arrival. After we'd scrabbled around to see what we had (not enough)they pointed about a cash machine across the road! Also confusion in that there are two two different TripAdvisor entries the them , this one and one which also includes comments which must have come for their predecessor (Sizzlin Spice)

Over priced like the rest of Cheshire oaks

Our food is always great, we order at least once a week, shame they don’t offer so much as a free papodom on orders over say £50 as we spend a fortune and even when Ive asked we don’t receive, think the least they could do on customers orders over a certain value would be to offer some free papadoms. As I say shame as we order and spend a lot but obviously not treated as valued customers. Plenty more Indians restaurants we can use from now on though.

Place well managed, friendly staff, clean, good food, short wait, only downside no hot water in taps in toilet, my hands are freezing.

Great dog friendly pub. Ideal if you are staying at the nearby Travelodge with a canine companion. We had a really good breakfast here. Many thanks to the waitress who took the picture of us and the dog in front of Santa's chair and the Christmas tree.

Went in the other day with my missus to grab a chippy at Harry R’s, we were ‘served’ (if you can even call it that) by a bald employee, who was very unprofessional and rude to me and my wife. He hurried our order through without a care and i witnessed him being rude to one of the younger female staff members on shift. I felt very sorry for her. The management need to learn to control and enforce a rigorous customer service environment from their staff, as what i witnessed from him was appalling and ruined mine and the missus meal and tarnished Harry R’s REPUTATION.

Me and my wife went to Miller & Carter based on Google rating and because it was the closest to Cheshire Oaks movie theatre. I appreciate that they didn't require booking or wait and had a table ready for us. Initially, I liked the decoration and the atmosphere of the place. There were plenty of people around seemed like a good choice. Shortly after we sat down, my wife started noticing some red flag, things like the lamp on our table was dusty and the toilet was not very clean and has not been well maintained ,unfortunately, I already made an order by the time she came back. I ordered fried calamari , halumi sticks for starters which were not bad, the calamari was slightly too oily. We also ordered Ribeye stake sharing and lobster tail for our main meal, that we told to cook medium but they decided to cook medium rare instead. The main meal took about 47 minutes from the time we ordered. In my opinion, the steak was not worth the price even for medium rare steak I have had better steak. Overall, seems like small detail but they add up and we were not too pleased with the experience.

Great service from the lovely Amanda, food was fantastic (I come for the great Ribs but my husband also raves about the chilli burritos. I also have to say that the prosecco is the nicest I've ever tasted its fruity and dry and delicious. Only downside was they had no whiskey on the bar 😪 highly recommended
