The best restaurants in South Ribble North West

Bought a tray of chips, arrived home to find a tray of scraps, so disappointed, and now they have lost a customer if that's what my hard earned money gets me. I changed my chip shop to village chippy because of the above and they are very good, but required chips tonight (Monday) however they are closed, went back to John Dory and watched what I was given, different girl serving but lovely chips, back to the standards I'm used to from them, even although a little less chips there's still sufficient for 2 people, excellent.

Nice and clean. Visited around 8pm it was very quiet. Enjoyed the food ad usual.. u cannot go wrong with Subway.

Me and my partner and family went here as they had been in past and said it was good and we were met with one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. So now you have to order at the bar taking away the eating out feeling but every time we got food we waiting 30 minutes and had to ask the girl at the bar were the food was and then it still took another 20 minutes to come out our starters were burnt and cold and our mains were awful mostly inedible cold food on scorching hot plates which we had again waited for and then had to ask at the bar were our food was again was clear the food was bad as barely any was eaten and there was no apology for the bad food or bad service we recieved seems the staff were more focused on the what 7 people watching football and not the literally only two tables seated for food who were also ignored the same way as us we would not dine here again because everything was awful from dirty floors to dog bowls literally in the middle of the floor waiting for someone to fall over to awful food and awful service would not recommend at all

Been waiting "ages" for them to reopen, and because they are new and not long open the menu is basic, but the food was good, plenty of beer choices, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Just hope tye menu gets somewhere back to how it was before, ie :- goats cheese starters, fish n chips, and definitely needs desserts 🍨 🥧 🍦 🍡 🍧 . But all in all, we enjoyed our little trip out for tea.

Called in and had a super tasty donner on a naan. Can’t knock it! Hot, tasty and plenty of it. The service was quick and friendly. 👍

We visited this restaurant for the first time before we went to the cinema next door. We both had garlic bread, one plain and one with tomato. Mine with tomato was lovely except the middle was a bit undercooked. My partner had the chicken and chorizo paella which he said was just OK. I had the spaghetti bolognese which was tasteless and bland; really disappointing. Strangely we had to pay by bank transfer to a personal account which felt a bit dodgy to be honest. And the manager sits in a corner with his beady eye on everyone. Don't expect we will visit again.

Stopped in at the bobbin mill for a quick lunch with my family, the food was beautiful! We all enjoyed our meals, the veggie chilli and chicken & mushroom were amazing! I even indulged in the cookie brownie for dessert, and it really didn’t disappoint😍 The staff were so great too, so cheerful and warming, they really went above and beyond for us! We will definitely be returning again soon! 😁

Lovely staff, very welcoming. Tranquil place, loved watching the ducks & geese on the large pond while enjoying my cake & coffee.

So, the food was good. Nothing to rave about but it's a jack of all trades, but I do really like their burgers. However, I'm writing a review because I placed a biggish order for like 5-7 people. It had time constraints because I tried to arrange it for break which was unscheduled until an hour before. They arrived promptly and the food was yummy and majority were pleased. The only downside was an error on the website where a new burger wasn't added yet, I called and left in notes that I wanted that instead of an item of similar price but because of the busy period and biggish order, it got missed. It's disappointing but not their fault so that's why I still rated highly.

We were told we could have a refund for the who made order due to it being an hour late. Also it was not cooked properly and half the stuff was missing. U haven’t processed the refund and it was a week ago

Really, really, REALLY low quality food, ordered a special chow mein and received tiny shrimps an egg that had been sitting about for a week 2 dry pieces of chicken and that was about it. No veg, not a wiff of a bamboo shoot or water chestnut or onion. The quarter of duck was tasteless and the pancakes were raw and welded together so they just ripped apart. Avoid at all costs and just for the record the free prawn crackers tasted of dirty oil that needed changing. Once upon a time this place used to be reasonably good, but not anymore. Shame!!!!! When i rang them to give them feedback and constructive critisism they were not interested, and put the phone down. You've been warned!!!!!
