Only downside the room was very very dusty

Great location when traveling from Manchester airport. Sainsbury's and John Lewis nearby which is a bonus. Free onsite parking. Never tried the restaurant but the team at the hotel are always lovely. Room is always spotless. This is my go to hotel when at Manchester airport.

We had a lovely meal there. The birthday song is a little loud and a little long.

Great location for what we needed. Will definitely use again.

Brought my dad here today for his birthday, dad had fish and chips, my husband had a special off the special board and I had the hot roast beef. Great food, I didn't get the lady's name behind the bar but thank you for your hospitality. Great atmosphere in an oldie pud.

Cant fault anything about the Nelson Tavern.

Thought we’d try this place for a change of scene. BIG MISTAKE. In brief, it’s very tired, noisy (two tvs and very loud background music playing) and very dirty. The upholstery throughout is worn, tatty and paint-splashed. I was almost sick standing at the urinals, staring at wall tiles splattered with dried nasal mucus (SNOT!). In a word: disgusting. At least give the place a good clean. Should have realised that something was amiss given that the place was near empty on a Saturday night.

The food has 100% gone down hill ! We have gone here for years and it's really disappointing. But the delivery man is the angriest and rudest man I've ever met !! He's very very aggressive and scared the hell out of my daughter. Unfortunately I will never order from here again.

Fantastic little pub, great landlord, sadly found this little gem too late as it has now closed due to Stockports Green regeneration scheme.....bring back the Gill.

Closed (Wednesday at 12.20 PM) when it says it should be open from 11.30 AM - wasted trip!

No Draught Beer ,I enjoyed the Lager I had, Friendly atmosphere, CASH ONLY ,Delighted some places insist on this ,Informed upon arrival, I only use this place on occasion, It's PLEASANT

Notion is now Blackbird Cafe! It was absolutely awesome 😎 Amazing food and excellent service! Staff were very kind and sweet! Lovely to chat to and they seem to like where they work. The Ox Cheek Nuggets were sublime! The sauce on the sticky chipolatas was so super tasty, that we had to use our chips to sop it all up. We shared a few starters ( Ox Cheek Nuggets, Sticky Chipolatas, Rosti Chips and Triple Cooked Chips) and had a main plate , the Wild Boat and Beef hotdog. It was all fabulous, even the ketchup .... It seemed a bit richer than usual but it could be that I've just not eaten ketchup in so long I've forgotten what it's like 😅😅. My favourite was the Ox Cheek Nuggets and Hubby's fave was the hotdog. The Ox Cheeks were really tender, flavourful and lightly breaded. They almost fell apart as we took them out of the container. The hotdog was really juicy and had a firm bite. The meat was spiced well and not overwhelmed by the mustard drizzled on top. Thank you for a fabulous meal!
