The best restaurants in Rye Rother South East

Intended visit to Rye Always use this cafe as a stop over when driving the coastal route. Small, clean, friendly and they make a wonderful mug of Yorkshire tea! Had a bacon sandwich as well 😋 yummy.

Lovely accommodating staff especially Hetty. We didn't feel rushed even though it was quite a late booking. Sit by the view of the Monastery if available.

We had a delicious dinner at marcos. Very welcoming and friendly service. The food was so delicious. My children loved it and said it was their favourite meal in Rye! We will definitely be back. Thank you ☺️

Everything was perfect. Ready to collect on time, packed and help to the car. All our guests said how delicious the food was and the huge pavlova looked fabulous! All so yummy and just what we needed for a sunny garden party.

Go through the dowdy antique shop frontage into the tiny, almost cramped room behind and prepare for a treat. We three all picked the all day breakfast; proper bacon, real butcher's sausages and all the trimmings. At around £6, with coffee refills, we couldn't have been happier!

Sat outside Kino in a lovely setting at 2.30pm for late lunch. Good choice of what we were looking for, placed our order and was promptly delivered by a charming young man. I have got to say the toasted ham and cheese sandwich along with the great salad was one of the best I think I have ever had….delicious. Great bowl of clean water for my dog to enjoy too…. Thank you.

Visited for a family birthday as locals. Booked in advance for a table of 11. Service was excellent and can't fault. Food was high quality, as certainly reflected on the price. Evening was perfect until the waitress asked for our two small grandchildren to stop looking out the window and to sit down, even though they were being well behaved. Food is lovely, although due to the comment made after paying a huge bill, unfortunately we won't be visiting again as planned as a family, including visiting their new venture at The Kettle of Fish.

Came to stay with friends for the New Year and had a great time. Attended the New Years Eve party and a huge thank you to Dan [site manager] Meghan and Mark for their outstanding hard work on a very busy and packed party especially keeping the buffet going. Well done all, it has been a fantastic few days stay.

We picked up a lunch for the beach, sandwhiches, crisps, soft drinks and a cake. By far the best sandwich in a while (you can pick your own fillings) and they did a gluten free option too with gluten free cakes. They also sell good food presents.

Warm, friendly service with the best Danish pastries I have ever eaten. My granddaughter devour her ice cream, claiming it to be super delicious! Would highly recommend a visit to this excellent café.

At last a chippy that does quality savaloys. Firm, nice crack as you bite in with a good flavour. Chips were very good too... most savs now are squashy, pale and tasteless. A good find.

This cafe is amazing. Stopped here for a sandwich before the long drive home and so glad we did. The sandwich (Brie, bacon and cranberry for me, chicken, bacon mayo for mom) was the best I’ve ever had. Nice thick slices of the freshest bread and stuffed full of filling. The small salad on the side was just right and the coleslaw was devine. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful from the minute you step in. Highly recommend if this cafe if you are looking for good food.

Really warm and welcoming restaurant, I have used Mardi Spice for over 16 years and can honestly say, their food is fantastic, cooked to your liking. Highly recommend them.

Loved our visit to Lemongrass! the staff were very lovely, and the food was delicious! good veggie options and the panang was especially delicious! absolutely recommend.
