The best restaurants in Seaton East Devon South West

My friend and i have dinners on Sundays when i visit Seaton. Choise of two roasts. Can be Beef, Chicken, Pork and Lamb. Excellent value for money. Gets very busy so would suggest arriving from 12pm and not later.

Ate here last night 3rd Jan with a group of friends for a 90th birthday. The restaurant is very inviting with the lighting and murals on the walls. The staff were so attentive to everything. We brought our own wine, the empty bottles were removed without us even realising. The food was the best Indian I've ever eaten. The portions more than generous. If I lived in Seaton or even a few miles away, this would be my no 1 choice of eating out. Thank you guys for making the evening memorable.

Hidden Gem Alert! I chose to visit this wonderful restaurant during their happy hour, 5 - 7 pm. This place is a must-visit for veggie lovers! I had the Dopiaza and it was incredible. It included a veg samosa and an onion Bhaji all for a set low price. They clearly put a lot of care into their vegetarian dishes - fresh, flavorful, and not a frozen pea or carrot in sight! They have awards for it (see photo). The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. Highly recommended!

A small friendly bar with a view over the beach. Local beers and cider on tap. Beer was a little flat but the cider was tasty.

A great place to stop for a tea/coffee and chat with the Colyford men's walking group.

Tried the fish and chips and onion rings, had to wait a very long time, found it very greasy, will not be going there again.

What a great restaurant the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I asked if the chef could make a really spicy prawn dish and I was not disappointed, I’m not sure what it was. We also had veggie spring rolls to start and a vegetable coconut curry and jasmine rice as our other main dish. I can really recommend this delightful Thai restaurant. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and keep up the good work.

Recently reopened under new ownership.Lovely pub with friendly staff.Drinks only at the moment.I think their kitchen will reopen in February. A proper local pub

We had a noisy room, and pillows were not the best. The location was perfect for what we needed Food was as you would expect. Clean tidy throughout.

The staff are very ignorant I am a disabled and had sat down with my baby granddaughter at an unnamed bench there is NO name or sign on the bench advising that the bench belongs to this shop I wanted to order food but the pushchair wouldn’t fit through the door I waited for my daughter to arrive (who had been to a nearby chip shop) and asked her to go order my food but before she had chance was told very rudely you can’t sit there with that chip box. Where would she like us to put the chip box whilst we order food?? As I was getting up of the bench to leave as there was no way I was going to order any food now the female staff member said we couldn’t order food and have to leave 🤬 🤬 I’m disabled and had a baby with me a pushachair and a 2 year old! There were NO signs saying disabled and children NOT WELCOME I’m absolutely disgusted and advising anyone disabled or anyone with children should AVOID this place DISCRIMINATION is DISCRIMINATION and I will be contacting EAST DEVON COUNCIL with a complaint that they allow these premises trade!!

Overpriced for a chip butty. Chips were nothing special and the buttered roll was dry and tasteless

Ordered chicken chow mean last night , vile , a box full of noodles with a few chunks of chicken and a couple of bean spouts , no flavour, really disappointed have had better and more flavours in a micro wave meal

An excellent hot chocolate, that many local cafes could well to learn how to do it. Busy and lively atmosphere, with hospitable staff. Clean and well looked after.

Had a wonderful Cappachino,. great cakes, Toastie full of cheese and tomato, and very friendly staff. Will certainly be a regular customer. Robert and Judith
