Anthony & Andrew are fantastic hosts, Anthony as the bartender/host so warm and welcoming. Andrew so passionate inside the kitchen & produced wonderful dishes. My wife is VEGAN and both our dishes were stunning. We prebooked to take our dog and the welcome to the 3 of us was so genuine we felt so at home. Log burners on I do not write reviews but this evening with A&A was so enjoyable that I had to write this post. The 3 of us rate The Star Inn, 5 stars and well worth a visit.

I ordered for the second time yesterday and again was fantastic..They beat all the other pizza places around, they were delivered hot and within the selected time. The taste is out of this world, the dough so soft, light and crispy, also the coleslaw is amazing. If you havent tried these amazing Pizzas you are missing out.

Yet another lovely breakfast here! We love it and it is our go to place for breakfast now! The food is so tasty and freshly prepared. We are lucky enough to have this gem on our doorstep but if you're visiting make sure you give it a try! They do take out too!

Not sure if we’ve been unlucky but the last few times we’ve been to Banditos, we’ve been very disappointed. It seems since a new chef took over. We had stopped going for some time, as the quality seemed to have gone downhill, with missing sauces and smaller portions, but as I love a burrito, I talked my other half into getting one. I ordered a heaven and hell, convinced it would be better but got home to find it was only a chicken burrito with no mince and no extra sauce. Such a shame as this used to be a really good place for Mexican food that we used every couple of weeks.

Tried the 5 course menu one evening at Jonas at GL50. The quality was fantastic, superbly prepared and presented with style and enthusiasm by the chefs themselves. The flavours were intense on every course but not over flavoured. The front of house was also very good. This restaurant deserves to be very successful. My only feedback on changing things was that the wine flight, at £45/head for three small (c125ml) glasses of wine each, we thought excessive. Nice wines but (to us) no more so than the wines we would normally chose in a quality restaurant for £30-£40 for the bottle. I think adding just more one glass of wine so you didn’t need to ‘manage a glass across two savoury courses’ would make the wine flight feel a little better value.

First visit. Excellent food and great atmosphere. A favourite restaurant of several friends Quite expensive but we'll worth it. Thanks for the experience

Called on the off chance they’d have a table for 2 available and so pleased they had. Their menu looks amazing. My eyes were literally popping out at the range of cakes on display in the chiller cabinet. Very hard decision but went for the warm plum frangipane tart with ice cream. Good sized portion and absolutely delicious! Coffee very nice too. Wish we were staying near Dawlish for longer so I could sample everything in that cabinet, and on the menu!

BFK is a hidden gem! Great place, with amazing food, and very friendly attentive staff! I’ve been many times with family and friends and the food is always perfect! The weekly specials mean there’s always something new to try along with all the BFK classics. I recommend trying the SFC burger or maple chicken strips, a personal favourite. Highly recommend a visit!
