The best restaurants in Wolds Weighton East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

Disappointed today to get to the Tea Room having travelled for nearly an hour to find tea room closed until 17 January. Checked the website a day ago and it showed it was open and even the Tea Shop open sign still out in front and all the other direction signs in the village still in place.

Can't praise this gem enough. Went with 2 friends and had the most amazing breakfast. Top notch ingredients,superbly presented and cooked. Amazing price that i would had happily paid more for. I've visited a few café in the surrounding area, but this is far the best by a country mile. A very clean and hygienic small establishment, that is well worth a visit. 5 stars from me and highly recommended. Thank you.

My brother and I ( both 60+)had been walking for over 5hrs on the Walds Way. We stopped off at Milla’s Friday afternoon for Coffee and Cake and were greeted by two delightful young ladies, who served us tea , coffee and cake and showed a genuine interest in our day. This is a saloon offering predominately eye brow & beauty treatment, but I would also recommend the coffee. As for my brows … maybe next time. Thank you ladies , well done.

Come here every year if I can. It's literally the best pub ever, everyone is so nice, the decor and lighting are so cosy, the fire is always in. Just a fantastic place to spend time and it's what all pubs should be like. Also a fantastic selection of red wines.

Came for dinner with my friend a few months ago, we had the small plates. No complaints at all great food and drinks, reasonable prices. Will return soon I’m sure!

We were in the area for a function and need a place to stay the night, the rooms are more American style (you access each room from the parking lot- not from the hotel lobby) which suited us perfectly as we got in at 1.30am. You do need to check in before 9pm to collect your keys. No pictures of the room as we were just exhausted when we got in- but everything you could need was available- hairdryer, kettle, tea coffee etc, toothbrushes and toiletries. Bed was spotless with clean linen, clean and modern bathroom with fresh towels. Even a Gideon’s Bible in the drawer! TV. And lots of parking. We were late for breakfast and thought we had missed it but we were still cheerfully offered a meal: cereals, fruits, yoghurts, waffles, cold meats, cheese, toast(probably more but that’s what I remember!) As well as hot food available. Wonderful host who was so gracious. Thank you! It was a wonderful stay!

My wife and I have eaten at the Manor inn on numerous occasions, the last time being Christmas Day. The staff and owners are really friendly, the service is amazing and the food outstanding. Christmas Day was a real treat, everyone in the restaurant was delighted and happy with a wonderful atmosphere, quality service, food and drink. To be honest I am not always easy to please and I would say if anything wasn’t quite right. Cannot say this here. You have to be careful when making recommendations but I do not hesitate for one second in recommending the Manor Inn for high quality food and drink. Exceptional friendly staff, great service and we’ll be back in February once the Manor Inn reopens following the staffs well earned holiday!

visited for our 6th wedding anniversary. The welcome from the owner was fantastic from the very start, we were soon served with the food arriving not long after and though quick to arrived it tasted amazing and was well priced. All staff were friendly and professional through out and we were well looked after, definitely recommended.

The restaurant was cold on our first table after sitting down and we were moved to a table near a fan heater ...One waiter had a couldn't be bothered attitude ,when the deafening fire alarm sounded myself and my partner stood up to walkout and the waiter asked if there was a problem? The chef in the kitchen had set the alarm off evidently. My partner had said the ladies toilets were filthy with no toilet paper and several empty loo rolls..with only six people in the restaurant obviously not cleaned for a while. The meal was satisfactory but nothing out of the ordinary. The salt and pepper pots were dirty and very off putting...We won't be visiting again and wouldn't recommend it either. The standards have certainly gone down hill since our last visit six months ago.

This was our 3rd visit to the Bay Horse. It just gets better & better. We’ve celebrated two birthdays. In July was my parents diamond wedding anniversary celebration with 24 guests. When you arrive it’s a lovely welcome from Tim at the bar. Yvonne helped effortlessly create an interesting menu to cater for everyone’s wants & needs. We had the function room, beautiful sunny setting with doors onto the patio. Our food was fabulous, all arrived on time. Beautifully presented, tasted amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. I’ve no hesitation recommending The Bay Horse
