Friendly helpful service with great choice of food

I gave The Kitchen a five star review as a cafe in October 2019 and said I’d be back. Well over a year and a couple of lockdowns later I popped in to buy some cakes and have to add this review - the carrot cake and ginger cake are absolutely amazing. I’ll be back again but won’t leave it a year this time.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Cafe Massarella today. The salad was very fresh with tasty pasta and pesto, a wholesome and flavourful soup was just what needed for a very cold day, and a good chicken, bacon and cheese.

Been going to Pizza World for years, and almost every time the food is great. The staff, who have been there for years, are great and always accommodating.

came to try the winter afternoon tea, had a great selection of sandwiches with the salmon being my favourite, the scone is absolutely delicious and the cream was the perfect consistency. the desserts weren’t my favourite but thats just because i dont have a sweet tooth. great selection of teas available and great customer service

Food was very tasty although we'd all have preferred a larger sized portions for the price of the meals! What was disappointing was the price of a non-alcohol beer which cost £6.00! With the 10% service charge that was £6.60 for a bottle of beer! I can buy this drink in the supermarket for under £1.00 so the mark-up in my opinion is unacceptable.

Enjoyed our Christmas turkey dinner here today. Very good value for money. Lovely, friendly service and a warm Christmas welcome. We felt well looked after and the meal was very good. A relaxing, welcoming occasion. Thank you

Gorgeous fish and chips, was nearly put off by some of the reviews but visited as looked and smelt good and we was not disappointed. Food was very fresh, fish was big and crispy, child’s meals were great value for money and fish and chips wasn’t much smaller than the standard portion so really good value. Don’t be put off by bad reviews as we had a lovely meal with no complaints.

We stayed overnight after a wedding at Grantley Hall (5 minutes away) and everything was perfect. Beautiful, modern and clean room, friendly hosts and lovely breakfast. We highly recommend as a perfect stopover for Grantley or when travelling.

Was there 5/12 for my 50th. A singer was performing that night and she was amazing. The venue itself was inviting, warm and all the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning in the near future. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food (although service seemed prompt with the food itself smelling delicious).

I don't live in the town, but I visit it frequently. I have eaten here probably half a dozen times. Is it the best asian restaurant, I don't know, these things are always personal opinion and subjective. For my part I like it. The place is clean, the food is more than acceptable and so is the bill. The staff are professional and polite and the service is good with the staff being attentive. Would I take friends there, a definite yes. Ate there last night and had a dish I have never had before anywhere. Could have been called almlee. Had everything going for it, heat, taste and the lamb just fell apart

The staff are great. They accommodated our new baby and made sure we had room for the pram. The food is the best quality whenever we come. Every time we come it makes me think why we didn't eat there before this year!.

Fabulous 1 night stay at The Inn, South Stainley. This is a dog friendly hotel and as were travelling with our mini dachshund, we stayed in one of the deluxe dog friendly king-size rooms with it's own terrace. The hotel is right next to an A road but luckily our room was at the back so we didn't hear any road noise at all. We had a meal and drinks in the restaurant in the evening and it didn't disappoint. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best we've had too. All of the Hotel staff were lovely and friendly and we will most definitely return!!
