15:00 on 22nd September Following a great afternoon watching several flights we decided to visit the cafe. We sat down and waited, the un smiling waitress finally decided to come across to the table, I asked for 4 hot chocolates she very curtly told me to fill in the menu request form and enter my contact details at the rear and was totally un helpful. I totally dont have an issue with completing the form the fact that there was a lack of greeting and zero warmth from this person, with a face meant for rear of house she is totally lucky to have such a cushy job.

Worst fish and chips ever, clearly the oil needs changing as the batter on the fish was dark brown. Not the best taste. Would’ve returned it but live out of town.

Well Ive visited often overyrs, but my recent visit was an odd experience . I exited cafe in the usual (as I thought) way via the courtyard into the gift shop ,which said open and door was open . Only to be told byva less than patient cafe member that the shop was closed " what do you think there is no lights on?"! I dunno I replied it said open, and you still have sign in cafe saying no exit the other way. Expecting some apology, the staff member just looked at me as if I was daft !.

A locally owned, friendly restaurant which serves excellent fresh Thai food at very reasonable prices. Recommended for any visitor to Malton.

Ordered Chicken and Chips. Chips ok but the chicken was rancid. Clearly left under the hot lamp for several hours. Chicken was exceptionally dry as a result.

Nice popular place for a bite to eat

One of the nicest fish and chips we’ve had for a while. Perfect batter, lovely thick fresh fish, and great chips - not soggy and not too crispy.

Don't waste your time! Staff are rude! The food I wouldn't of gave to my dog! I last visited a few years back and it seems to of gone downhill.

We had the best steak and lamb chops ever. Can't believe how good it was. Crumble snd trifle also top notch and really nice wine. Ridiculously cheap.

the food terrible and music blaring out till gone 3.00am in the morning like having your bed in a disco won’t be returning and advise you to think very carefully if you want a good nights sleep

Popped in for a quick pint saw they were making home made pizzas . Had a pizza and a pint combo along with a game of pool while I waited . Absolutely delicious. Was well worth been late home . So took one home for the wife too. . Happy days

A warm welcome from landlady Rachel at this traditional Farndale pub. Well kept ales on tap and a decent Rose wine slaked a thirst on arrival followed by a plump Sirloin Steak and trimmings and a plate of crispy scampi to keep us fed. Excellent value for money and all the traditions of top class inn-keeping can be found here in the glorious setting that is Farndale.

Excellent meal - staying locally for husband’s 60th birthday so booked for lunch on our arrival. 5 adults and one baby, enjoyed by everyone lovely staff and excellent food excellent value for money. A big thank you from me for the vegetarian option best meal I’ve had in a long time proper vegetarian food no fake meat. Too many places now just offer a vegan option to cover both vegetarian and vegan usually meaning highly processed fake meat.
