Costa Coffee Malton Review I recently visited Costa Coffee in Malton, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere even though they were dealing with some minor issues with the tills. This didn't detract from the experience as it was handled professionally and efficiently. The café itself has recently undergone a refurbishment, and the results are impressive. The space felt modern, clean, and inviting. The coffee, as expected from Costa, was spot-on – rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. However, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The toilet seat was loose and kept sliding around, which was quite frustrating to deal with. Additionally, the tap in the bathroom had overly high pressure. Turning it on caused water to spray out of the sink, soaking me and the floor, which was a bit of an annoyance. Despite these small issues, my visit was enjoyable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Hopefully, these maintenance concerns will be addressed soon, as they are the only things holding back an otherwise great café experience.

The Chicken Tikka Masala here was strange and nothing like what you would expect with excessive coconut and very very sweet. The Bhuna was very nice as was the Pilau rice. We were the only people in at 9pm. I would drive past this one, sad to say.

Wow! Ordered a kebab and chips to be delivered. Massive is an understatement. It’s not often I have a takeaway so I’m very pleased I only ordered 1 portion to share. Super quick too!

it doesn't matter what time you order food it should always be eatable. orderd chicken about 11 it come cremated my tip is if you order chicken from here make sure its sooner than later ? the later it gets the more the chicken becomes dry thay think its OK to sell it

Staying at a nearby campsite so ordered a delivery. Very fast and efficient service. The pizza garlic bread kebab and chips were all excellent. Recommend

I was disappointed with the Black Bull Inn. Friends of mine had spoken well of it, but I found the food mediocre. I was particularly disappointed with the staff. I found them to be cold and disinterested. I personally wouldn’t go again. They didn’t seem like they cared about your custom at all. Not what I expected. The interior is nice and cosy, though. I think that the interior is its best point. Disappointing.

Would like to start by saying our coffee and cake was as good as you would come to expect from a Costa establishment. Now why the poor score I hear you ask...simple ..the place needs to be shut down and deep cleaned top to bottom !!!. Then after this it should only reopen when they hire more staff as the current '2' just can't cope. To give more details the seats are absolutely filthy with the floor and walls in not much better a state . I moved twice before I found a seat that didn't smell of sour milk. Trays were piled up with dirty dishes onboard on almost every table, which people were having to move out the way themselves. They had to start using takeaway cups for all orders as they ran out of clean Sorry but this is not becoming of a Costa

Excellent pub, Spotlessly clean, happy to serve, friendly bar staff. Lovely beer garden where you can sit next to Pickering beck and watch the ducks swimming past. Good selection of drinks. Dog friendly (on a lead) water bowls always available and staff will happily fill them . Lovely when sunny outside ,with a covered area if it starts to rain. Would highly recommend any time of year. A warm and comfortable place to stay. The staff and locals made us feel really welcomed. We enjoyed our stay from start to finish, and were sorry to say goodbye. The food was delicious and the service was great. We highly recommend The Royal Oak as a wonderful place for couples, families, and four legged friends. Centrally located with easy access to the natural beauty of North Yorkshire.

Greeted quickly by friendly member of staff. Room tastefully decorated for the festive season. Order taken promptly. Teas and coffee soon arrived followed swiftly by tasty festively flavoured scones. A wonderful end to a days walk.

Popped over from Scarborough to see the Christmas lights. Did not intend to get some chips,but daughter and grandaughter were hungry.I was wary as I have used this chippy in the past and it was awful. Anyway got a portion of chips each to eat outside. We all said they were the best cooked chips we have had from anywhere! Piping hot,crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. absolutely gorgeous! The young gent cooking and serving them was so friendly(sorry didnt get his name) First class service! would def go again.

We stopped and had a really nice beefburger bacon batch with lovely fresh old-fashioned chips the service and the staff are brilliant this is a big motorbike stuff in place as well I would really recommend

My 'Hot Beef Sandwich ' consisted of a dried out roll, a few tasty onions+mushrooms, one very small piece of delicious looking beef and two dreadful slices of 'spotty' slices of beef from a supermarket packet which were 'hidden' under the unadvertised topping. Slight argument when I asked for a refund. Was told the beef had been kept warming on a hot plate but not for how long. My daughter had already had to return a packet of crisps with a best before date of 2023.

This is a very inviting pub but had originally gone for food as the reviews said, however we was told by the lady behind the bar that they Don’t serve food. So we had a drink then left, nice staff though.

We are walking some of the coast to coast and are staying at the Black Swan. We realised too late that the information we received from our travel agent about this restaurant was outdated. It used to be a creative dining experience, but now it is pretty terrible pub food . look elsewhere.
