The best restaurants in England

Absolutely fantastic food today as usual. Beautiful lunch and fabulous cheesecake for dessert in wonderful surroundings. Service is great. Well Don Gil and staff.

Fabulous place to go for breakfast, very friendly staff, luckily we were early as very popular place to eat being made obvious by a queue forming outside and I could see why as we really enjoyed our breakie. We chose it as it was very close to viking centre and we were lucky we did as it was a good start to the day, we were greeted and served by a very friendly staff member Soph, thank you

The meals were as expected, chips were outstanding, lasagne was very good, the stotie bread specials were average. Service was ok but not very attentive. Difficult to move due to proximity of next table. Disappointed overall.

Another fabulous trip to Prego as always the food was delicious and service impeccable. We absolutely adore this restaurant. If you’re lucky enough to be in the Stockbridge it’s a must visit. You will not be disappointed

Just a note to say a really heartwarming thank you to all the staff in the excellent service we received on our visit yesterday. My daughter and son-in-law both thought we had found a hidden gem which is credit to your establishment (they are used to eating at high quality restaurants in their home town Los Angeles US) all the staff were welcoming and attentive and it was especially nice to see the chef at the table, the words absolutely superb, delicious and amazing were echoed throughout the meal at every course. Pequeño pero cada centímetro de espacio se utiliza. No podía decidir qué elegir, pero me ofrecieron consejos, que seguí. Se sentía un poco presionado. La comida era muy buena. No había alcohol en el menú, pero eso no era un problema, ya que no quería nada. Había algunas opciones para bebidas bajas en azúcar. Sólo había una cosa que me molestaba. Me dieron el billete en una carpeta cerrada al mismo tiempo que me ofrecieron el cajero automático, luego me preguntaron si me gustaría dejar una propina en el cajero automático. Elegí dejar el 10% que era £ 4. 24 . Imagina mi disgusto al ver un cargo por £ 4. 72 cargo por servicio en la factura! Así que un total de £ 8. 96 punta! Sí, debería haber revisado la factura antes de pagar, pero deberían haber sido transparentes al respecto. Si bien el recibo incluye el cargo por servicio estatal, me lo entregaron al mismo tiempo que me preguntaron si me gustaría dejar una propina. Ni siquiera tuve la oportunidad de mirar la factura. Me encantó la comida, pero el cargo por servicio más el problema de propina puede disuadirme de regresar.

Staffs are really friendly, Head chef is handsome and Kind. Obviously only authentic korean foods in Leeds. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend. Amazing experience. A real treat. Had lunch menu and very much enjoyed it. Food was excellent (including the food descriptions given to us by the waiter/waitresses of each course we were about to eat), service very friendly and attentive, great atmosphere, wine recommendations to accompany each course were delicious too. Este lugar es increíble! Justo a la vuelta de la esquina del Marriott Maida Vale donde nos alojamos. Reservé esto por conveniencia, pero terminó siendo la mejor comida que tuvimos mientras estábamos en Londres para la semana. Recientemente habíamos estado en Roma y comimos en algunos restaurantes espectaculares allí. Morso aguantó o superó lo vivido en Italia. Empezamos con Prosciutto que simplemente se derritió en tu boca. Ellos, estoy seguro, tenían una pierna que estaban tallando en la parte trasera. Esto era de calidad superior. Para nuestra principal, partimos la Carbonara que se hizo con pasta fresca y no demasiado salsada. Muy delicado que es difícil de conseguir con un plato tan rico. El desierto era Tiramisu. Tenía más sabor a chocolate de lo que estoy acostumbrado pero nunca he tenido 2 Tiramisus hechos de la misma manera. Esta versión fue deliciosa. La selección de vinos fue excelente y no tuvimos problemas para encontrar los varietales que preferimos. También probé el spritz de Limoncello y un snifter de Grappa. Si nunca has experimentado Grappa, son las pieles de uva fermentadas. Fuerte, pero muy sabroso. Sugeriría coger su vuelo Grappa. De todas formas... para completar esta experiencia, nuestro camarero que era brasileño, proporcionó un excelente servicio. Él era amable, respondió a nuestras preguntas turísticas, y nos hizo grandes sugerencias de su menú. En general, este restaurante es uno que no te quieres perder. Esto es especialmente cierto si se aloja en el cercano Marriott. Este restaurante recibe 5 estrellas de mí y le daría 6 si pudiera. Bravo Morso!

FABULOUS quirky little place to eat 👌❤️ Lovely welcoming, friendly owners and staff. DELICIOUS food and a fabulous selection of freshly baked homemade scones and cakes made by the owners. Lots to choose from the menu & specials board. I had the delightful homemade Pea & Ham soup with a cheese and ham scone. Doggie friendly with doggie treats on offer. A lovely real fire lit added to our cosy afternoon lunch. I love my food and would recommend this place. Lots of places offer coffee and food but a great deal on offer unfortunately is bulkmade and very processed. So, if you are looking for a lovely homemade selection visit this place. We will be back when we are next in the area. Thank you Strawberry Lounge 👍

This is about 4th time I have been to Le Caveau, never disappointed, the food is amazing and the staff cant do enough for you, 'Mark the Chef and Alastair the waiter', I took my family for the first time on 20th December and they thoroughly enjoyed and plan to return in the spring, so if your looking for something that little bit special this is the restaurant, get booked on!

The service and ambience are delightful. The food was truly mouthwatering. And the pistachio white chocolate was out of this world!

Well we never got in. We called the day before to book 6 people for Wednesday but the guy said they only take bookings for 8 + people! That's a party!! Otherwise we just show up. So we did go there and we were asked how many people and when we said 6 they said we have to be 8 or more. Ridiculous! We took our business elsewhere.

I’ve always been a fan of pie and chips, but the standard of pie you get in some chippies these days is the same as you get from the supermarkets. But at Shoal I have found the pies to be fantastic. These are handmade, with lovely pastry. The chunks of meat in the beef pies are delicious. The waitress in the take away says they are made by Karolina on site. I’ve had to join the gym to counter the effects. The chips are brilliant as well. If you’re in Winchester and fancy pie and chips, Shoal is the place to go.
