The best restaurants serving American food in Middlesbrough North East

Fully vegan menu. Delicious food. Friendly service. They were very understanding of someone with extra dietary requirements and they were happy to (having been asked and given notice) provide a special meal for me whilst my partner could choose from the menu. Both our meals were delicious. Would definitely go there again if we are in the area.

The meal prep from here is amazing! I’ve just started a calorie deficit and with working full time, going to the gym and trying to have a social life too - it’s difficult to measure and cook food everyday. The Protein Cafe’s meal prep packages are unreal - they’re so filling and actually taste unreal! Not to mention the staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you, even changing one of my meals in the meal prep because I don’t like that food! 100% totally recommend to everyone, thanks so much guys ❤️

Very expensive £38 for 4 sausages, 3 tiny lamb chops, chips, a little dish of rice and a few sauces. The sausages were nice and the lamb chops were like rubber very disappointing.

Lovely night lastnight to celebrate my partners birthday. Everytime we’ve come we’ve felt looked after so we knew we wanted to spend a special occasion here. Food was spotless, waiters attentive and Nati particularly made us feel welcome. I’m pregnant so I thought I would miss out on the cocktails but the mocktail tasted just as good if not better! Shocking service and attitude of all the staff. Went for a family celebration on Saturday 11 January and hoping for a meal which we knew finished at 5.00pm. Tried to order our food at 4.30pm and were told that we couldn’t order with no explanation. On complaint we received a load of verbal abuse from staff and were threatened with being thrown out. Totally awful experience for the family.

Just tried this fir the first time . WOW WOW WOW . Got the Licuous double mash burger. Came with 4 x 3Ounce patties. Has to be the most delicious burger I have ever tasted beautiful flavour and the fries are cooked really well nice & crispy fries . The sauces are amazing too. And sooo resonanably priced . A credit to them for this fine Establishment. One of the best burger & Phily Steaks places to eat local to the North East 👍

Restaurant seemed fairly busy for a Monday night, service was good though, drinks order taken and arrived in good time. However the menu is quite pricey for the food that is served. Chips resembling scraps and not very nice, I had the American smash burger which came on an oval plate with the chips just thrown on, no eye for detail or presentation. At this price point you’d expect a little flare. Flavour not all that great either.

Got a calzone last night but couldn’t ring the shop as it was shut the pizza dough wasent even cooked

1 out of 5 staff just not good enough the order was short boneless filet and dips meal. The dips didn’t appear with the order. The chap who took the order in the first place couldn’t speak much English which you’d have thought was a must given the job. This isn’t the only time I have had bits missing from previous orders. Only use the place once in a blue moon, it’ll be a long time till I go back there if at all.

Ordered zinger meal and chicken fillet meal and it's was literally bagged to go as I drove from one window to the next. Food was ok

I ordered delivery and after 1 hour of waiting I called the restaurant. They assured me that food would arrive in 20 minutes. It took one more hour. 2 hours of waiting for soggy burnt chips, no taste mac n cheese, and probably the worst parmo I have ever tried. Plus, the food arrived cold.

We found the restaurant to be a little scruffy looking. I visited with my husband and children for a late meal on a long journey home. Due to the time of night around 9pm on a weekend there were a few unsavoury characters hanging around. My 11 year old needed the toilet so I decided it was safest to let him use the ladies with me. As we approached the door the cleaner stepped towards us and snapped "where's he going?" I said into the toilet. She said he can't go in there that's the ladies. I told her he is tall but is 11 years old and I don't feel it's safe going into the gents alone at that time of night and she stepped between us and said well he's not allowed in there he can go in here and before I could say anything ushered him into the disabled toilet. Firstly that is misuse of a disabled facility. Secondly since when is a child seperated from a parent by a member of staff?! Third, do McDonald's have a toilet policy stating children cannot go into the opposite gender toilet with a parent? Very dodgy territory for McDonald's and I'm honestly disgusted by it. My son was very embarrassed and we shall not be returning there. Have a word with your staff
