Want a hearty flavourful Asian meal? This is the place for it. We enjoyed all the dishes that were served, Especially the shrimp firecracker. Our waiter tried her best to serve us the food on time as we were a big group with a large order. The atmosphere was perfect for a lovely evening out with the family.

This was the latest delight of a thirty year relationship. As always the dim sum, crispy duck, steak in a bird cage and lobster were impeccable. Combined with a delightful welcome back and served by attentive, polite and genuine grace and manners, it couldn't be better. Looking forward now to the Chinese new year in couple of weeks. That for me is one of the years highlights. Wonderful food, atmosphere, fireworks and Lion dances, all done with great panache.

Came with some friends for a drink and some food. My friend ordered grilled chicken bao which he enjoyed and was cooked well. Our drinks were also fine. Unfortunately, I ordered the fried chicken bao which after I took a bite realised was very pink. I asked for it to be cooked longer and the chefs made me a new one. Unfortunately, this one came back even pinker. The server asked if everything was okay and I explained it was still pink/raw chicken but it was fine, I don’t want to order anything again and I won’t eat this one. She left the raw food on the table and when it came to pay, included the food I did not eat on the bill. I kindly requested this be removed as I felt i should not have to pay for raw chicken that I did not eat, which led to the manager having to come to remove it off the bill with no apology. There was no issue removing it from the bill, but there was a large lack of apology or concern for what they had given a customer. The service was okay and the other food my friend had was nice, hence the 2* rating, but we will not be coming again for food sadly.

The good - The service was good, friendly, attentive but not intrusive and solved some problems quickly. The bad - For the best part of £100 the food was terrible. If you want good Thai food go elsewhere. We ordered a Chang, which came warm, but the waiter swapped this quickly for a cold one so full marks here. Starter - Street Food Sharing platter - This was overly greasy and all tasted of oil which was a shame. Marinated Steak & Crispy Slow Cooked Beef - Low quality steak entirely made of sinew. Sticky Chicken and a portion of Pak Choi and Tenderstem- Arrived stone cold. We raised this with the waiter, who took it back to the kitchen. 5 minutes later, they returned to the table proclaiming "straight from the Wok", with bowls that were too hot for them to touch and some very soggy microwaved food. The Chicken included the small piece of napkin that fell into it when it was first delivered. The chicken had managed to avoid the microwave blast and had achieved lukewarm chewy status. At this point we called it a night and left. All in all, we were looking forward to a bit of a treat and for the sum of £100 the only tasty/edible bits were the rice and pork skewers the rest will be consigned to the rubbish. Very disappointing and we definitely won't be revisiting it.

Ordered delivery, Only thing that was nice was the boiled rice and the onion bajis. Chicken nuggets were rock hard and my 4 year old couldnt eat them, chips were soggy and tasted like they were either microwaved or lived a happy life in a pool of fat before making their way to my plate. Curries didnt taste like anything (balti and dopiza) and couldnt tell the difference between the 2. The final peice la resistance was the chapatis.. thick, heavy and lack taste. Would have had more chance eating a rubber Frisbee in honesty. Cost £40 and will never order again... had to cook for my boy as he wouldnt eat any of it. Do not recommend!

I absolutely love wagas (wagamamas), and this place was very nice. The server was really informative when answering my questions about certain dishes. I am not very good with spice/heat and wanted to try something new. The server gave me a good idea of what to expect and requested that some of the spicier items were put on the side so I could try them individually, which really helped me enjoy the meal. The only reason that the review isn't 5/5 is because I love every wagas that I go to, but this didn't wow me in the same way that a couple of other wagas have. If the review was for Wagamama the chain, then it'd be 5/5 every day of the week, but for Wagamama MediaCity, it is a 4/5. I would still return in a heartbeat, though :)
