Really fancied Indian food today and I’ve had some awful food when I’ve looked around in the past. This place was amazing, the food was incredible and the service was great. Would really recommend this place to anyone around the area. So many regulars coming and going, I can seriously see why!

The prawns and fish, both of which are at the more expensive end of the menu, were - while tasty enough - overpriced. Both were filled out with an excess of sauce and the prawns very heavily battered, but not much actual prawn at the core of the dish. Definitely presentation over substance.

First time here for breakfast. Just had desi omelette and parantha and desi chai. All home made style. Properly cutlery. Lovely service. More upmarket than the normal franchises on the road.

Called in on the off chance on a Saturday night and secured a table. Nice atmosphere and nice and cosy. Good menu and drinks selection. Pricing good also. Staff were pleasant and food came in a timely fashion. There is seating downstairs which is probably more for groups. Definitely worth a visit.

Just stopped for seekh kebabs and chicken tikka. Food was lovely🙂 fresh naans delightful 😊 and the chutney 👌. Didn't have to wait too long (place was not full).

I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Giggling Squid in Brentwood, as it has left me deeply concerned about their food safety practices and customer service. On December 1st, 2024, I had a meal there, which included prawns. Hours later, I became violently ill with severe vomiting and diarrhea that lasted for two days. What makes this more alarming is that I was the only person in my group to eat prawns, and no one else fell ill. I reported the incident to the restaurant immediately, but their response has been nothing short of dismissive. Instead of taking my complaint seriously, they speculated that my illness might have been caused by norovirus—even though there is no evidence to support this claim, and my family members, who ate with me and live in the same household, were unaffected. Despite my requests, they refused to provide transparent details about their seafood handling. To anyone considering eating at Giggling Squid, especially the Brentwood location, I urge you to think twice. If you’ve had a similar experience, please speak up—it’s vital to hold businesses accountable to prevent others from getting sick. I’m sharing my story to raise awareness and ensure no one else has to go through what I did.
