The service was extremely slow. If you are booked for 6 and expected to be out by 8.30 then the service needs to be faster. It was ages before someone took our order and the main courses took so long coming that two plates of food were only lukewarm. In addition, my grandson had a long curly black hair in his dinner, which put him off, but did not seem to bother the waiter. They refused to serve us desserts, I think because we had run out of time, and this is the first time I have ever left this restaurant disappointed and dissatisfied. I have been visiting since it first opened. What has happened here? We used to have such brilliant service.

I hadn't been to the Spice Fusion since it first opened and decided to try it again this week. I have to say that the food was amazingly good and the service was excellent. The flavours of the Madras strength Bhuna I had were extraordinary and my friend said his Garlic Chicken was equally special. I have booked in again tonight so my partner can share the experience.

I recently visited Mumbai Inn with a friend (I’m Black, and my friend is Indian), and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. The waitstaff appeared hesitant to let us in, which was odd since there were available tables. It was clear that the majority of the patrons were middle-aged and white, and we couldn’t help but feel like we didn’t fit their preferred clientele. When we were finally seated, things took a turn for the worse. While my friend and I were deciding on what to order, the supervisor/manager approached us and demanded that we decide immediately because he was "busy." I was baffled by the rudeness, as most restaurants are patient and give customers enough time to review the menu. To make matters worse, this behavior wasn’t directed toward other patrons, making us feel singled out. We rushed to place our order, but the experience only declined further. While the sweet chicken dish was decent, the biryani was downright terrible—bland and lacking any flavor. It was so bad that we couldn’t finish it and left the majority of it untouched. Overall, the service was dismissive and rude, and the food (aside from the chicken) was disappointing. I expected a better dining experience, especially from a restaurant claiming to serve authentic Indian cuisine. Sadly, I cannot recommend Mumbai Inn to anyone based on this visit.
