The best restaurants in England

We had our works xmas party here Saturday night( 30th nov), the venue, food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. There were 32 of us, our food all came out together and the staff were amazing especially Mark who is in charge, he accommodated us at short notice and made sure we had everything we wanted, we are now booking for next year.

Brilliant find. Wonderful service and food was amazing. I was with my daughter who lives nearby and she will be visiting again

Having seen people recommend here on Facebook we looked forward to our visit. Whilst the food was okay we felt that price wise, paying £55 for a seafood platter for two it was rather expensive, when the platter was put on the table my son initially thought that it was just his. Plus side the salads were lovely and fresh, no limp lettuce, it all looked freshly prepared. Taste wise the prawns were of the small previously frozen variety, the crab was bland, he enjoyed the mussels and the crevettes were nice. Found it strange that pickle is served with a prawn ploughman’s. Ham in the baguette was average. Paying over £30 a head for lunch , only one course each, not sure if we will return. The gardens and setting are beautiful, with lovely views of the bay. The website needs updating, as prices are very different now.

The staff always seem so happy and friendly, and the food is always stunning. Lived in Barry all my life and only tried the deli last month for the first time, I've been back about 5 times now.

The coffee served here is absolutely fantastic. I'm always met with friendly and knowledgeable staff that know how to make a decent cup of coffee. I highly recommend a visit.

Popped in to have breakfast here with the family midweek. Two full breakfasts and smashed avocado and egg on toast for the boy. Service was friendly and quick and the food really well cooked. Would highly recommend. There is plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch and the drinks menu is also extensive. Our breakfast was cooked fresh to order

Tasty food. But overpriced for poached egg. Empty table next to us hadn’t been wiped, and waitress took too much interest in the screen when I was asked to add 10, 15 or 20% service charge.

Gran servicio de Mario y cócteles que son completamente únicos. Gerard era el anfitrión perfecto. Es raro ir a un bar y probar algo tan diferente pero tan genial. Bravo al equipo. Arigato

This is a great place for a large, well cooked breakfast, By 9.30am most of the tables were full and I can see why. Friendly staff, good tea, excellent food and a lovely local relaxed atmosphere. I had the Bubble and Squeak with extra mushrooms and bacon, and it was lovely; good portion, well cooked.

We had an excellent evening and dinner tonight at En Steak! Marco was an excellent host and made us feel extra special for our birthday celebrations. The atmosphere is great, the food delicious (I can certainly vouch for the sirloin and extra side of bone marrow with the gravy) and the cocktails superb. Would highly recommend a visit here for dinner we and if you get Marco, you're a lucky table!

We came here for my birthday lunch and were blown away by the quality of food, friendly staff, price and overall feel of the place. We did the lunch deal and we were so impressed with how much you got for the price. Our server was so lovely and attentive, and made me feel really special on my birthday. It has the feel of much more expensive Japanese restaurants in London and is a real asset to Oxted. Cannot recommend this place more and we're already planning when we'll be coming back!

Absolutamente hermoso desayuno, fantástico tamaño de la porción, se sentía muy lleno! Preciosas tazas de té y teteras, excelentes precios asequibles. Es acogedor y hogareño, se siente un poco como ir a una buena casa de amigos para tomar el té. ¡Si pides una olla grande de té, obtienes una olla de muy buen tamaño! El personal era amable y dulce. Los veganos están muy bien atendidos sin ningún alboroto. 10000 % recomendado
