The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

My wife and I went here on an afternoon. The lady was partly welcoming but partly rude. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it felt like it. Even before we finished ordering, she literally took away the menu cards from our hands. When we entered the restaurant, there were 85% empty spaces, but she acted as if everything was booked. Turns out it wasn't booked until 2 hours later. When we tried to order Spaghetti pasta, she tried to push for Penne for no apparent reason. Food: Pizza was quite good. The dough had a salty taste, which I liked, bu I'm not sure if everyone would. The pasta was good too. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a lovely vibe. It is decorated well. They have clean bathrooms. The ambience is pretty good. Will we go again?: Maybe not, because of the service we received.

Highly recommended. Great Italian food and good price considering it's central London. Make sure you book in advance as it gets very busy and it's not a huge restaurant.

Lived here for years but only recently tried this place: it was superb. Best truffle pasta I've ever had. Rest of the family loved it too.

What a great place first visit however best place in Runcorn read mixed reviews before going here , so was a bit nervous , however it was relaxing,friendly, polite staff ,food was tasty and hot the restaurant was clean it was amazing highly recommend but leave me a table will definitely be back thank you

Had an amazing time going to Prego for a solo date. Food was a 10/10, proper authentic taste. I watch my pizza being made for me which was a delight. Thank you Fatih, the chef and your colleagues for amazing customer service and delicious food.

We were given a table in what I can only describe as a SHED. There were 8 of us and were given 3 round tables. There were no side plates and the service was so slow to be very very nearly non existent. It was very cold and the music was so loud we couldn’t hold a conversation. We did ask for it to be turned down, which it was only to be turned up again shortly afterwards. All together a very miserable experience and we will not be returning.

Had a meal here last night with 3 friends, the food was absolutely top class. Very italian feel when you're here, It's like going back in time. A bit dated with the decor, but you can't complain about the food, I had starter main and dessert and finished with an Irish coffee ! All my guest thoroughly enjoyed their food. Definitely one to try if you're in the area. Worth booking in advance as can get busy.

Beautiful pizzeria in a central location. A large selection of toppings that will satisfy even the most demanding. The mushroom pizza I chose was excellent, although I wish it had less oil. Will visit again for sure!

Had a lovely time, great food, brilliant service. Enjoyed the Christmas menu and Shabba went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after.

Just had the pleasure of attending the inaugural Sunday lunch, it was excellent, great portion size and delicious, thankyou
