The best restaurants serving British food in Daventry East Midlands

Firstly, love coming here, the ladies are all friendly and helpful. It's a cosy welcoming place for a coffee and cake, a take away lunch, the scotch eggs and quiches are wonderful, or our personal favourite, the big breakfast. Everything is so fresh and cooked to perfection. My husbands favourites are the delicious sausages, whilst mine are the amazing mushrooms that melt in the mouth. It really is the best around by far!! The coffee is tasty and HOT, something I have difficulty finding elsewhere. Can't fault a thing, thanks ladies

Simply amazing and presentation is quite unique along with the food so good we had an evening meal but went back next day for Sunday lunch which is great value. Sadly no steak on the evening menu but they came up trumps to offer a sirloin steak out of the blue

We got our lunch from this lovely little place, excellent rolls with tasty fillings and with the tasty treats on offer we went back for some cake for afters.

It was to expensive for so little. Paid for X-Large cod but actually was just a regular in size and charged me like £12 The kebab was £11 and was lacking meat.was more chips and salad.could have got a massive one from the kebab house for £8. £2.20 a can of coke seems like a complete rip off.how do they justify charging people double the shop prices. Also stated a free pot of curry sauce for £20 and over:I never received. I paid £37 for a piece of fish ,a tiny kebab 2 sausages and 2 cans of coke….seems extremely unfair to overcharged for mediocre portions

Closed. 😭 A cosy cafe with friendly and attentive staff. Indoor and outdoor seating in a quiet courtyard conveniently located just off the high street. Nice breakfast and lunch menus available; and of course a good selection of cakes and deserts. Well behaved dogs are allowed inside and outside; water and complimentary treats offered. Parking just a couple of minutes walk away; toilet / baby-changing facilities on-site (ask staff for key). Card payments accepted. Highly recommended.

Nice place. Dropped in for a coffee with some friends. Service was spot on, prices good and atmosphere is lovely. Dropped in again. As good as ever.

We stayed here for three nights. Met up here with friends as we live a long distance from other. Agree with other reviews in that the hotel is very tired, rather scruffy and in need of a complete refurbishment !! However also agree with other reviews that the staff and food were very good indeed!! Would stay again.

Visited this place today. Indifferent staff serving overpriced 'food'. Having waited ages for our order to be served hot chocolate turned up warm. I complained and all they did was return original drink but overheated. Having waited another 10 minutes had to chase them for the rest of our order which they had forgotten about. Overall we waited about 25 minutes and when it did eventually arrive even that was wrong. By which time we'd given up and ate what we received. Definitely will not return.

This is such a warm and welcoming pub, especially with the fires lit. Sunday dinner was amazing, plenty of roasties and the biggest Yorkshire I’ve ever seen! Can’t wait to return.

We visited here for the first time at the weekend and loved it! We had a cream tea each which was delicious and fresh, excited to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Always love it here, never had any complaints. Best Sunday lunch we've had.

Just stopped by and brought the marmite/cheese bread and 2 focaccia Beautiful produce and lovely friendly staff. Like a little hidden gem !

This was our first time here. A really lovely spot with extremely friendly staff. We had the small fry, sausage baguette and tea and all was very tasty. Great to visit somewhere a bit different. We will definitely return.

Had a lovely lunch with beautiful home cooked food and cakes with such friendly staff. Was made very welcome and wish that I lived nearer to visit again such a gem of a place.
