The best restaurants serving British food in Daventry East Midlands

Coming from Sweden and this is the best pub I’ve been to. Just great!

Love the wheatsheaf .the coffee they serve is sooo good.the coffee cake is my favourite as well oh and the cheese scones..

All of us went out for a meal at the lion , The waiter service was very nice and very polite. I have no complaints there however I chose to have the small fish and chips at £15… The chips and one of my colleague chips tasted awful and the fish was Only half battered and was an exceptionally small portion . Pub was clean and friendly

Popped in on Thursday this week for a spur of the moment meal. Met with a warm welcome, shown to a table with drinks and food arriving swiftly. The food was delicious. Really well presented and incredibly tasty. The belly pork was tender, with beautiful crackling and a sumptuous sauce. The clam tine and gingerbread upside down cake was unreal. Could have eaten it again! AND……very reasonably priced. For a freezing cold night, we left warm and happy. Will definitely be back.

An empty pub has little atmosphere. The meal was disappointing. My wife's fish was tasteless and dry. The batter was good though. The garden peas were overcooked. Chips were delicious but far too many. Not a great celebration of our 54th wedding anniversary!

The food was very good (Beef bourguignon and steak burger). What ruined the experience for us was the small but very loud group of local drinkers at the bar using foul language. The young staff on duty said it was a continuing problem they had tried and failed to deal with. The owner needs to get a grip.

Took my brother out for his birthday treat here. The food was top quality, hot and tasty, reasonably easy on the pocket too. Nice atmosphere in the countryside. Friendly helpful staff. Clean restaurant and managed to get a table with a view of the fields even though it was a holiday week. Fantastic treat. Would go again and take someone else too. Thank you

Four of us visited Skypark Farm for brunch on February 6th. We all had coffee following which three had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and one had a kipper. Although these were standard brunch items they were particularly tasty. Service was prompt. We were served by Sonia who was very friendly and welcoming. The environment is appealing and the cafe comfortable. We stayed for an hour and a half having drunk our second cup of coffee!

While the location is fantastic and the staff are friendly, the overall experience was disappointing. It’s not cheap, but I don’t mind paying if the food is good. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. We ordered the vegan burger, and for £18, it was a real letdown. It came with just a small piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and two dry patties—no onion, no sauce, just bland. Given the price, I expected much more, especially compared to similar offerings at other pubs. The portion sizes for the other meals were also very small, and to top it off, no one checked in to ask how the food was. The atmosphere didn’t help either. The dining area is a cold, brightly lit corner of the pub, making the whole experience feel less inviting. It’s a shame because the location is great, and the staff were pleasant, but the food, pricing, and overall vibe just didn’t live up to expectations. I won’t be going back.

I have always loved Indian food and this was one of the best Indian meals I have ever enjoyed. Every dish was so beautifully flavoured. If we didn't live 100 miles away I would be a regular visitor to the White Hart.

La comida tardó muchísimo en llegar (sin odio para ver cuánto tiempo desea esperar si estaban ocupados!) cuando fueron quemadas, pizzas y tarta con puré de bultos no gusto! Postres ordenados nuevamente tomó las edades, pero en realidad estábamos bien. Nadie aclaro nuestra mesa teníamos que mover los platos vacíos de la mesa junto a nosotros.Agradable pub para tomar una copa, no es comida!

Had a fantastic meal with great service. Delicious food and good-value prices. Very friendly atmosphere. We are visitors to Braunston but would love a pub like this local to us.

Very Good Food at reasonable price. Ample servings. Try the Pies wit Gravy. Very delicious I will definitely be back again in the future.

It’s a truck stop expect nothing more ! Parking facilities looked ok But they need to learn how to cook Had to send the beef roast back before I choked on the beef The manager came offered a new dish so chose the chicken wings which was choosing a dish the same price ! That’s another bad choice came with no meat on and wing tips intact ! They were fresh from the micro wave , drenched in the sauce and Luke warm chips Salad tasteless No sauces where available only salt and pepper as they think the drivers paying £31 night take them ! I’ll use the overnight parking if I have to ! but as for the food give it a wide berth

Honestly wanted to ask for a refund for the entire meal. We went ot for boxing day dinner. It was awful, sat underneath masses of cobwebs. Burger was horrid partner did not eat it. A real let down and it dort of put a dampner to the end of our christmas sorry to say. We where expecting big things due its location etc
