Pizzas were good but the chicken bordelaise, think the chef forgot the red wine and added gravy browning instead not a good eat at all

A canny traditional pub, a good selection of beer. They also have live music which is a bonus.

First time there today,very nice will go back again

we will NEVER go back there !! it was once a lovely place for food. unfortunately, under this ownership, standards a slipped way beyond acceptable !! our 'food' took an hour to arrive. we sent our chips back because they were raw. they were returned, dripping in grease and STILL raw !! if a chef can't cook chips, then you're in trouble. the couple next to us left half their carvery, saying it was bland. another customer asked if he could have his carvery reheated in the microwave as it was served cold !! that just sums the place up. NO apology NO offer of refund NOTHING 😡

Absolutely tremendous tapas! Friendly staff and dogs welcome too. Definitely worth a visit! Will be going back.

Food was amazing 🤤. Portions are just right for one person so they do advise to order two small plates. The music was great. They have outdoor, ground floor and upper floor seating. Warm and cozy vibe.

Don't miss the pizza Cheesesteak it's the best

I have never had mocha coffee and cakes this good. We really loved the cozy yet charming vibe this cafe has. Friendly staff and very welcoming.

I go here a lot these days...... nice and relaxed, the mince 'n dumplings are particularly sublime.

Poor experience - we go to Allards regularly (usually the fish quay) but were in Tynemouth so popped in for coffee & some breakfast. Ordered at the bar immediately after another group of three ladies. Waited 40 minutes & the waitress came to the table next to us with the three ladies - apologised for the delay & gave them a money off voucher. We waited a further 15 minutes & just as my husband went to the bar to ask for a refund our food came out. It was well below the standard we have previously had at Allards & definitely not worth the hour it took to make it. Tried to get someone's attention to provide feedback but had to leave. It wasn't busy and in the time we were there several tables had sat down & then left without ordering.

Great food. Baby shower buffet of hot and cold food was delicious. I have heard recently that this place has closed down such a shame
