The best restaurants serving British food in Lansdown Cheltenham South West

Early Sunday evening arrived after 6 months of hearing mixes reviews for them to tell me they've run out of chips. Don't understand a chip shop without chips or particularly one called Chip Shed. Not the first time apparently together with early closing. Avoid

Shame they are always running out , of something or other , nice seating area outside

Good sports coverage and wide range of beers/ciders. Qell satisfied with the food, tasty. Service was good but would recommend booking a table when main sports event is on football ior rugby.

We had a great experience here. We’re in Cheltenham for the literary festival and liked the look of the restaurant. Our food was absolutely superb, especially the sirloin steak - cooked to perfection - and the root vegetable and cashew nut roast - wonderfully tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and accommodating, with the manager even finding some delicious chocolates to accompany our coffee when we mentioned that we fancied some chocolate! Clearly they go that extra mile to ensure their guests have a superb experience, and we will definitely return.

Food is absolutely amazing, bar staff really friendly and the pub feels so welcoming, Def recommend.

Lovely menu and great food and wine. This was my third visit, I try and go each time I’m in Cheltenham. Disappointingly the service was really slow this time. It wouldn’t put me off going back though

It's a wetherspoons, you get what you expect! Cheap food, fine for what it is - decent selection of beers at a very good price, atmosphere is generally fine. Decor is busy and toilets are a bit of a trek, as expected to be fair! Can't park anywhere close as it's bang in the town centre.

Didn't hold up much hope, and must say it was as bad as I'd thought. Only good thing was that I got served super quickly
