We went for a meal Saturday evening last minute. Wow what a lovely place. The menu you had such. Great selection and the quality was amazing! We was really impressed with the price for the standard of food! We most certainly will be back to visit

Nice enough place but their prices are a bit of a joke. E.g. I ordered poached egg on toast, which was £7 for a single egg and piece of toast. Given that's not really a breakfast I spent another £4 for some extra scrambled egg, and let's just say they weren't feeling very generous 🤣 So, £11 for an average amount of egg on a single piece of un-buttered toast. Boom. #eatsomewhereelse

I’ve never been before but I wasn’t overly impressed we booked the 2:30 sitting when we arrived the tiny reception area was crambed until people were seated. There is an overwhelming smell of musty food the decor is dated tables are a mix mash of wood and plastic covered, cutlery is basic as are plates. Onto the main part the food, starter was lovely mushrooms on sour bread presentation could be better , main was a choice of beef turkey pork beef and gammon downsides was the only vegetarian option was sausage 36£ for sausage roast is a bit expensive vegetable options were mash potato, carrots, roast potatoes, cabbage no cauliflower cheese, parsnips etc Pudding was ok nothing special. Overall I was underwhelmed and have had better in better surroundings.

We turned up during a busy lunch service to full tables, one of the two ladies running the cafe said to have a walk around the square and come back in 10 mins. We did that and our table was waiting for us. We noticed that they did that for several tables in the short time we were there, service was exceptional throughout. Our dishes arrived quickly and were beautifully presented, my crispy beef salad was delicious and had the Wow factor, my partner said his bagel and chunky chips were perfect. Gorgeous setting too and right in the heart of Ludlow. Only criticism would be the price of drinks served in a can.

Another fantastic meal, great staff friendly and attentive.Lovely menu hard to choose but had chicken risotto which was packed with meat. I'm not a pudding person and would normally have cheese ( which there is ) but went for sticky toffee fabulous light and very moreish.

Absolute gem of a find. We had initially intended to go climbing in the Roaches and have lunch in the cafe, but there was literally no parking available, so we googled paces to eat near Leek and found this lovely restaurant. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, and food was delicious and well presented. Great value for money as well. We will be back and highly recommend.
