Visited with friends for Christmas eve drinks. Fab atmosphere 👌 friendly chatty staff and plenty of drinks choice. Will definitely return when in the area thanks again and see you soon 😊

Proper pub, authentic, not like the one across the road. This is my first ever visit and I went to both pubs. The Foresters wins hands down!

Really great teatime meal with family

We attended a fun private party at the Capricorn. Potential to be good but drinks a problem I Don't drink lager or beer so ordered a whisky almost finished a double when I saw loads of dead flies, looked like fruit flys, in the bottom of my glass. Took this to staff who just took it and did not offer a replacement. Later I saw them remove the bottle from the shelf and pour down the sink. Yuk.

Wouldn't go back. Eaten there before and foods been amazing not this time.

This is our 3rd year in a row we have had our Christmas get together with usually 15 or so of us. Food is always lovely, staff cannot do enough for you. The table is set out lovely and with crackers. Mark and Alison have always been really accommodating to us with any special requirements we have and look after us, this is why we have returned for our 3rd year running. I highly recommend. Thanks guys!

Ordered Sausage and Mash from a totally disinterested Guy at the bar , The food came in reasonable time , we have eaten at this Pub many times , it’s not top notch but generally really good , the said food arrived and wow total garbage, mash cold peas rock hard and sausages obviously reheated, the waitress said all ok ? , explained what was the issue … ok she said …. never saw her again. The older Waitress was so nice but obviously the only person interested in customer service. A real shame as it’s a real convenient place for a quick lunch , or was .

Visited twice in a week. Good menu to choose from, good choice of ales, had the Sunday carvery, 2 choices of 4 meats, I had the roast pork, crackling, and roast beef. Gammon and turkey where the other options. Stuffing balls home made and very tasty. Fresh vegetables and gravy was spot on. Only one slight criticism, Yorkshire puddings tasted sweet? 9 out of 10 from me. Busy on a Sunday, advisable to book a table in advance. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

Went for a meal we had a voucher for 40% of our meals.we ordered the 2 for £12.50 The woman on the till didn't really want me to use the voucher kept telling me it wasn't worth using it.i only saved £3 something but it's better off in my pocket.its not for them to say if I should use it or not.they was 2 behind the bar didn't come across as very friendly. Not sure if I would go back.the food and pub was lovely.

Absolutely loved this place, we drove past loads of times and finally been there. The food was fantastic, quite a small menu but everything was very good. Can recommend the beef & wold pie and the lamb dish, fish & chips looked good and was per the couple next us. Very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Will definitely go back there.

Myself and six friends went today for Christmas lunch, having been previously for Sunday lunch was expecting the same quality or even better, how disappointing we all were for double the price of a Sunday lunch. Turkey was off the counter sliced / prepackaged , no sprouts (unavailable) Tesco and Asda around the corner. Prawn cocktail starter no bread and butter, hardly any sauce or prawns for the price of £22.50 each really disappointed

Nice friendly pub, shame they no longer do food but still a nice place to stop off for a drink
