the bald barista/barstaff was very rude when we asked if they was open stating “well you came through the doors didnt you?” staff member then proceeded to ignore us and make himself a coffee terrible service TEACH YOUR STAFF COMMON DECENCY AND CURTESY

Lovely meal and drinks. Catered well for coeliacs, gluten free options explained well, tasty food and reasonably priced. Service friendly despite being so busy

Called in on our way to Scarborough. The welcome was lovely and staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was gorgeous and well priced. Lovely pub, atmosphere and staff. Will definitely be back thank you.

Met a few friends for some drinks and was amazed by the amount of choice. It was busy and had a good atmosphere and all the staff were very helpful.

We visited today for lunch .the fish and chips where some off the best I've ever eaten. The staff where all very friendly and welcoming. Great place to eat 😋

If there was a 0 for food service I would agrree with that. 3 people and a dog. 3 members of staff. 1 guy short hair 2 woman on shift 1 blonde and brown Waited on dog table 10-15 mins with menu. No acknowledgement by the staff. Very disappointed after a long 5 mile walk No retun

Perfecto chippy! Excelente servicio. Mamagement y personal muy amable. Gran pescado y patatas fritas. Muy fresco y sabroso. Muy recomendable.

Excellent fish and chips it’s just a shame it takes so long for them to take your order when eating in the restaurant. The fish is cooked to order and is excellent,

We called here and I will admit I am a very fussy eater. However the food was delicious the only reason I didn’t do 5 star is the fish was quite greasy. However it really was delicious. The chips good and mushy peas excellent. The staff very polite. We will definitely return at some point.

This has become our chippy to go to. Can't beat the quality and freshness of the food. The fish is cooked from fresh and the chips are just delicious like they used to be. All thats missing is the news paper wrapping lol. My favourite is the fish fritters. The chips are soft and fluffy on the inside and a light crisp on the outside, the fish just melts in your mouth and is not watery. You can taste the freshness. The batter is light and golden and gives a lovely crispy bite. The fish fritters are juicy and nothing is greasy. This chippy has the best curry sauce by far and the gravy is nice and thick. Definitely the best chippy in East Riding of Yorkshire.

Arrived at 12 30 our reserved time the table we had booked not available so placed next to the toilets Waited 30 minutes to order our meal and then waited an hour and 15 minutes for it arrive. Meal 6 of 10. Ordered red wine and various other drinks. Pints of bitter £5.00 OK Med red wine £ 9.25 unbelievable. Would not recommend this pub for a meal and certainly not for just drinks. Staff worked exceedingly hard as there were only 2 people on when we arrived. Need to organise themselves . I don't normally post poor reviews but this establishment earned these comments. Our friends who booked this couldn't stop apologising for the lunch experience Will not be returning.

El personal es muy amable y extremadamente atento, nada era demasiado problema. Elegimos este café, ya que es compatible con perros y habíamos estado antes. Estábamos visitando la costa de Yorkshire para un mini descanso y no había encontrado ningún lugar que pudiera obtener un blanco plano, el café aquí era perfecto! El desayuno era maravilloso y los pasteles caseros horneados deliciosos. Sin duda volveremos a visitar.

We had selected The Owl as a good venue to stay and to host our celebration of our tenth wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed on any point. We arrived a couple of days early to sort things out. The check in was quick and efficient. There are stairs to negotiate with your luggage as we were in the main building. The room was spacious, airy and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had in a hotel for a very long time (we stayed a total of 5 nights so this becomes important). The food is very good and great value for money. The breakfast selection is great and the menu has a great variety. We did have the Sunday roast and this was good with a decent variety of vegetables. We had a function on the Saturday night and the staff excelled themselves. The food for the function was just what was needed and the bar was able to cater for both the drinkers and those of us who are teetotal. The staff were very responsive to any requests and went above and beyond when needed. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the Owl and some precious memories were created at the function. If you need somewhere to stay overnight or somewhere to arrange a large event, I would happily recommend The Owl at Hambleton.

He estado comprando con ustedes durante muchos años, vine el domingo por la mañana y recogí algunas cosas, incluyendo un lasano - nunca comprado antes WOW lo tuvimos para el té de anoche y es la lasaña más agradable que hemos probado, volveremos por más seguro.
