The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Great food and great service. I must admit, I am in awe at how they manage all the orders in person and on the phone as people are constantly streaming into though the door and the phone constantly ringing. Not only that, but they're still happy to serve you and in no way disgruntled by the constant work (as I know I would be!) Hats off to the staff!

Very nice Chinese, among the best chilli fried beef we've had, nice and crunchy. Good price food and good value

Best Chinese takeaway in Mudeford. Food and service never disappoint. Quick pick up time and reasonably priced.

Food ordered for delivery with details of delivery address and instructions that I’d be outside the apartment which is only three doors down the road. Ordered for 6.30, at 6.50 walked to the restaurant and was told my food was “on its way” - food arrived just before seven with a delivery lad on a bicycle who “was not familiar with the area and didn’t know we were so close!” It was cold of course. Duck pancakes were served with cucumber and carrot instead of the spring onions noted on the menu. We’ve used Golden City for years but won’t be bothering again.

A la llegada camarera era lo suficientemente agradable, pero no tenía idea sobre el servicio. Tenía dificultad para comunicarse. Tuve que gritar a través del restaurante para pedir bebidas (que ella se equivocó). ¡Lo más importante era la comida! Fue horrible. Los entrantes Langostino en tostadas, Alitas de pollo estaban goteando de grasa. Las alitas de pollo eran totalmente incomestibles. Era obvio que habían sido recalentados muchas veces, el recubrimiento era duro como la roca y el pollo en el interior había desaparecido prácticamente debido al recalentamiento. Esta fue una de las experiencias más terribles de comer fuera que he tenido. En mi visita solo había otros dos clientes, el restaurante estaba frío (aunque auténticamente decorado) , además los baños de caballeros, estaban sucios y el secador de manos no funcionaba. La comida era muy muy cara. Y lo más sorprendente es que no había precios mostrados en el menú de alimentos, lo que debería haber sido una señal de advertencia. Aconsejo a la gente que gaste su dinero en otro lugar.

Best spare ribs and prawn toast ever had

Cash only here but some real deals to be had! Jumbo sausage and chips was £4.10 but I didn't spot that the pies were only £2!! I needed to buy and eat within 30mins, as I was running tight for a train - food looked very lightly cooked but was okay and a good size. Certainly a recommendation if you are in the area if only for it's value for money!

Normally we love this restaurant but our experience tonight was so disappointing. So much so it’s put us off going back. We love the fact we can say to the owner that we’re happy for him to make recommendations and choose our food. Usually he loves the opportunity to bring us dishes we’ve never tried and we love this. Tonight the owner was in a foul mood and point blank refused saying he might bring us something we don’t like. We explained that it’s our choice but he was very rude and just said no. Then when we went to order he contested all our choices and said we should choose other dishes! It put such a downer on what should have been a lovely meal out with my husband so sorry Great Wall we won’t be returning.

This is the best Chinese take away restaurant in the bay. Have tried many others, they definitely did not come up to Hoi mei standard. They also are always so very polite and helpful. Would not go anywhere else. Totally recommend.

The food here is simply Fantastic! Good sized portions , i love the Chicken Chow mein , Curry & sweet & sour are so nice. Chips are delicious as is the Cod. We normally spend £40 -45 on 5 people so that is good. I cannot fault the food in here , the service is always good too. 10/10

Always good consistent food.. the chicken and chips, fried rice, ok sauce and curry sauce is my regular order. Delicious. Friendly staff and quick service

My first and last time at this takeaway 😢 The dim sum was heated up. It was cooked in old oil as I could taste it. There was no dip or sauce with it..v disappointed and had to throw it out after one bite. The shredded beef chilli was cooked in old oil too as was mushroom rice. I ate a small amount but threw most of it out.

Always very cheerfully greeted and the food is ready fast and fresh.

Came on a Friday after work and the workers were very polite and the food was lovely will be coming back again
