The best restaurants serving Fast food food in England

I recently visited The Kingfisher in Keswick, and I can confidently say it was one of the best fish and chip experiences I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely excellent—crispy, golden batter perfectly encased the freshest fish, and the chips were cooked to perfection: fluffy on the inside and beautifully crisp on the outside. The portions were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. Even the sides, from the mushy peas to the tartar sauce, were spot on. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring the food was served hot and fresh despite the shop being quite busy. If you’re in Keswick and craving top-tier fish and chips, The Kingfisher is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

I want to start this off by saying I have been a fan of Oowee for about 5 years, going to the bristol and manchester location frequently, so I've seen alot of my fave items come and go (namely the shrimp fries), and unfortunately my latest visit a few days ago was a massive let down. I ordered the cluckin fries (one of my all time favourite vegan foods) and the gravy was awful. It was bland and a snotty texture which I just couldn't get over, it also looked like it had come out of a squeeze bottle rather than a ladle and it was luke warm (at best). This was so insanely disappointing, especially since I also ordered a side of gravy and I could tip the cup upside down without the gravy coming out. Considering how yummy those fries used to be, with an abundance of cheese and gravy, now its plain fries with a sprinkle of unmelted, hard cheese (which i think has also been changed recently?) and a slither of cold, squeezed on solid gravy. Not sure if theres been a recipe change but it tasted completely different - I understand with inflation and cost that the prices need to be on the higher side but I do expect quality to come with that, as a student I also don't have much money to spend on takeaways so its a big treat to go out for dinner with my partner and getting vegan junk food. I feel bad leaving a negative review for a business I have enjoyed for such a long time, and I don't want to sound righteous, but it comes from a place of love. I personally think the menu is too big, doing too much, and focusing on specials/ presentation over quality. The gravy is one of the things that makes Oowee different from non-vegan places that offer vegan options- please focus on your USP rather than just trying to make the biggest 'dirtiest' burger that you can. I would also recommend you take new menu pictures since the chicken has also changed and the burgers look nothing like the pictures in store. That being said, staff are always lovely and the chilli nuggets were really nice. Looking forward to hopefully seeing some changes and coming back in soon :)

Bought our meal here this evening, after a long wait we drove 2 minutes away to beach road carpark, the chips and my food were very tasty and hot but unfortunately my partners fish was not very hot it was obviously not cooked to order.

This place is absolutely delightful. The pho is rich and refreshing. When you walk in the place smells like heaven. The portion sizes are generous, and the service is excellent - fast and friendly. The best place in London for pho by a country mile - the gold standard to lead as an example to others. They have earned themselves a new regular customer.

Just wonderful!! We came here on a whim with the family and we were delighted by the place. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the place feels cosy and the food is the absolute star! The meat skewers are super tender and taste fantastic. The starters are so good you could struggle to save room for the mains!

Amazing food, been using this place for a few years now and never disappoints.

If you want to eat a real Italian pasta dish you are in the right place. Super friendly staff

A la vuelta del perro, sentado en casa de mi hija en Rufford ayer por la tarde (lunes 6 de enero), mi esposa, Denise, y yo decidimos llamar a Hodgson's Chippy (Prospect Street, Lancaster) para tomar el té en el coche. Aunque hemos tenido un montón de pescado con papas fritas a lo largo de los años, nunca hemos tenido nada tan maravilloso como los que tuvimos la noche anterior! El pescado fue exquisitamente cocinado por Helen - dorado ligeramente rebozado - con papas fritas a juego; todo bellamente servido por María. Honestamente podemos decir que fueron los mejores fish and chips que hemos probado, junto con los encantadores guisantes húmedos.

Lovely place to eat, lovely staff, best fish bar in Hexham by far! I came here yesterday and ordered my family a meal each, and wow it was filling. I personally ordered a jumbo cod and chips and some homemade curry sauce and it was excellent.

Orden de entrega esta noche. Desafortunadamente mi kebab no estaba muy caliente esta noche y aproximadamente media hora más tarde de la hora preordenada. La comida era sosa y el pan pitta estaba empapado en líquido / aceite. En general una experiencia muy decepcionante y no volveré a pedir un kebab de entrega.

Kappacasein Dairy’s stall located in London’s Borough Market, is well known for its exceptional toasted cheese sandwich. It is delicious cheese combined with finely diced onions and leeks, melted between slices sourdough bread. The result is a perfectly crisp exterior encasing a rich, gooey interior. I can find it by smell now, I’ve been there a few times. I once visited the market on a day they weren’t open and I felt ripped off. On this visit, I was so excited to get one, I loudly thanked all the staff for whatever role they had played in making me my favourite sandwich in the whole world. They smiled, but not as much as I did wandering off with my sandwich in hand. Do yourself a favour and go get one when you can.
