The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Walked in with a dog and was told by mister bloody rude ‘no paws on the floor’ policy and yet in the corner someone had a dog on their lap so jokingly suggested I would carry mine. No, pointed at the door and sent us out. We were with a local so god knows what he would be like with general tourists. Mine hoste mine buttocks

Hay muchas opciones, y si he tenido un pequeño comentario, es que el menú puede ser abrumador, ya que no hay descripciones para cada plato para describir lo que está recibiendo. PERO eso también te anima a hablar con el encantador personal sobre tus gustos, y lo que cada plato ofrece en términos de perfil de sabor. No solo eso, sino que es una ganga. Hazte un favor y visita a Vel para una comida increíblemente sabrosa.

We have been customers of kingshishr for many years and never had and issue until last night that has put a bad taste in our mouths. For a family birthday meal we put an order in and were told it would be delivered within the hour which was perfectly fine. 90 minutes later we still had no delivery, so I called to see where the delivery was and how long it would be. I was told it had just left the restaurant along side a few other deliveries. The person on the phone was short with me and quite snappy in their replies.. The take away then came roughly 15 minutes later so 105 minutes after they had previously stipulated. I understand take aways get busy and can’t always be accurate on timings however, half of our side orders were missing, and what was received was cold - practically freezing no heat was left on the food. So I called to speak to the manager but was told the manager was too busy to take a call and what makes this 100% worse the person who took the call from kingfishr actually hung up the phone whilst I was mid conversation. When I called back the person said “I thought you’d finished”. I asked for the persons name to be told “I don’t give people my name I just work at a restaurant” and again when asked to speak to the manager I was told again he was too busy so I asked for a call back which never happened. Absolutely outrageous customer service. And have been left with a bad taste. Will not return.

Having passed Cafe India lots of times on the A5,we decided to try it for the first time. Absolutely fantastic. From the welcome to the wonderful starter dips and poppadoms to the excellent mains. Will definitely be back and can recommend it for anyone wanting a superb authentic Indian meal.

This place never disappoints. We managed to get a table for two at quite short notice and received a very warm welcome on arrival from the friendly and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was great.

Tried a few new things on the menu. The Lamb Laal Maas was outstanding - an exceptionally flavoursome and succulent dish. Always impressed with Cafe Masala and it rarely disappoints. Still as good as ever.

Family get together , great food and service from staff could not ask for a better experience will definately be going back in the near future thank you 👍🙏

Went for a midweek meal here, and was not disappointed. Upstairs dining room. My lamb main course and dhal side dish were both very good. Service was charming. Recommended.

Great communication before we visited on a couples night out, the place was really busy and had a great atmosphere. The staff explained everything exceptionally well. The food was beautiful and really good portion sizes . Special thanks to the bar who made me a special request spicy margarita - it was amazing!!! We will definitely return!!

Wonderful experience Food was exceptional very well presented pleasantly looked after by the owner/ waiter I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be visiting again

Food was ok thou I think a lot of corners have been cut ( trying to save money) but after my dinner I went to the bathroom, it was not clean , walls , sinks and floors all need attention

Went on the off chance and wasn’t disappointed, the choice and quality of food was amazing, great value for money and one of the best Indians ive had, definitely will return next time we’re in Lanzarote 👍

Had a lovely evening at The Chambers. Food was excellent. Amazing flavours, totally different experience from your standard Indian restaurant with a nod to traditional style Indian food served in a modern way. Serving staff were attentive and friendly. Decor was modern and good atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

Four of us went for a meal and although the food was lovely some of the staff were very rude. One in particular was very abrupt.

On recommendation from friends we decided to get a takeaway meal for dinner last night. The food was excellent, incredible flavours, not at all greasy and the service was excellent
