The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Wanted t try this lace out, looked interesting, given its name, was not disappointed. Good food to eat, lots of options from various countries, all with a eastern taste..

Fantastic selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. My son ( a big fan of meat, forgot that his Soya Tikka Masala wasn't "real " chicken). All dishes flavourful and lots of clean plates

Food is very tasty, and good for price My daughter had vegetable samosa and really enjoyed them and with that they gave her complimentary poppadoms and chutneys (her fav) she was over the moon

it was ok but a layer off oil on top which put me off i would like to try again but i would l like to see if they have healthier way to cook there food as the chicken was put through fat fryer made the chicken chewy

Just had a set meal for 2, really tasted lovely. Plenty of food, ordered it and food all ready, very friendly, Really full now, will definitely be ordering again

I have my regular 2 Indians I go to in Wickford but since hearing great reviews about this place I thought I would give it a go tonight. I was actually excited to try it out but I was left really disappointed, first of all when I went to collect the chutneys were sitting on the floor for some reason? I asked the guy for my receipt which he replied saying I cant have it because he did not know which one it is? Which I found very strange.. When my partner asked about the 10% discount for collection he replied by saying only on cash orders but this is not specified on the menu. It is a shame that the curry's were also not very tasty because I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately the jalfrezi was abit watery and had not much flavour and biryani also lacked flavour and sorry to say the bhajees were crispy but had to fillings.. The best part of the dish was the complimentary onion salad.. I don’t want to say bad things about the place but hopefully the management read this and take it as constructive criticism and improve on these points.

We ordered a takeaway. Their food is excellent. Portion of food is also quite generous. We ordered Veg biriyani, Lamb biriyani ,Paneer tikka, Chicken tikka,Tadka dal ,Biriyani does come with a veg curry. Every item was very tasty. They also gave us enough salads and free papadoms.

Just wanted an inexpensive curry the evening before an early flight from Luton and chose this because of its proximity to the airport hotel. Couldn't believe our luck! We had the place to ourselves, service was 5* and the food was absolutely delicious. Pickle tray had great variety, and the rotis and chapatis were lovely. Will have to think of an excuse to visit again :)

No longer exists unfortunately. Sold on a year ago, the new owners ruined it and now in the hands of the receivers. Such a shame...

Dishoom is always my go to place in London. There are many branches around London. I like the fact that their masala tea is bottomless and it is one of the best masala tea i had. Service is good and prompt. The menu has an extensive selection and so far everything that i tried was good quality and delicious.

We visited Indus on the off chance on a busy Saturday evening, and despite how packed it was, they kindly found us a table. A friend had recommended the restaurant, and it did not disappoint! We had the Desi Lamb main (APNA style), and it was genuinely one of the best curries we’ve ever had. A special mention to our waiter, Taz, whose service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be returning!

Fast and acurate, unlike Mcdonalds who took 2 hours before i cancelled and ordered from the fantastic HORNDEAN PIZZA SHOP!
