The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Had a great meal at this restaurant. Good quality food and atmosphere. Service was excellent. Based on our experience we would recomend this restaurant .

Mi novio y yo fuimos a casa de Rigo el viernes por la noche para cenar, la segunda vez que estuvimos aquí y el segundo éxito perfecto: elegimos la opción de 4 platos y todo fue simplemente delicioso. Los platos también fueron muy creativos y bien presentados: calidad de estrella Michelin. Pedimos una recomendación de vino y tuvimos la oportunidad de probar un vino que nunca habíamos probado, que resultó ser un buen partido tanto para la carne roja que mi novio pidió como para el pescado que obtuve: no solo el chef era excelente, sino también el sommelier también fue excelente. Es una pena que ahora se esté cerrando por un par de meses para mudarse a Mayfair, ¡pero seguro que volveremos una vez que abran en la nueva ubicación!

We had the best service me and my sister after a long day at work. We had the best pizzas. Steve, Mat and James were so lovely, welcoming and professional. Missed the Monday offers however, it was worth paying the full prices. Always looking forward to office day and the pizza treat.

We came here Friday evening. A lovely restaurant with only about 8 tables, always a good sign that you are going to be looked after and that your meal will not be rushed. I unfortunately found it absolutely freezing inside. Even with me wrapping my legs in my scarf, I was very uncomfortable in there. We had the special appetiser of pheasant terrine with rhubarb chutney, rocket, and pine nuts, which was to die for!! The second appetiser we had was the baked smoked mozzarella. We both really disliked this. It was essentially a croque monsieur with a thick slab of hard mozzarella and bread that you couldn’t cut into. For main my partner had the lobster ravioli. About five large pieces stuffed with meat! He loved it. I had the three tomato pasta which I enjoyed, except that it came out topped with cheese and it was more cheese than I personally would have had on it. I found that a little overpowering. But the pasta and the sauce was delicious. For dessert I had an affogato. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t have a standard coffee and ice cream affogato and that I had to add an alcohol to it which made it taste less enjoyable to me. My partner had the ice cream which came with pistachio fondant which turned out to be a pie essentially filled with pistachio sauce which was so so good. I had definite food envy with that one! The Sartarelli Tralivio wine went down perfectly with the meal. Service was good except they didn’t provide us with knives for our main meal. So we were cutting our food with the sides of our forks. Our server was Eastern European and although she was lovely, we found it very difficult to understand her a lot of the time, which made ordering and asking questions about the food quite difficult.

Fantastic food which is well presented and plentiful. Husband and Son has the Mixed Grill which was huge but they both said it was tasty. The staff are attentive and very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend eating here.

This was our third visit, first was very good second lacking, today this wa a rip off. Garic stuffed mushrooms 7.50 good, waiter said starter special so ordered the mushrooms were cut in quarters in a liquor with too much chili not mentioendmy preference however the dish would have cost under a pound and charged at 10 pounds 50⁷ Main course meat dry risotto like Pudding just add sugar well over cooked prawn and asparagus perfect but will not go again After first meal reccomede now have to retract.to all😡

Gran lugar con personal amable que a veces frecuento. Recomiendo si quieres un lugar para sentarse en Shoreditch especialmente al sol

Lady at the till on Thursday morning was super rude. No welcoming at all, no thank you, I made a question about a product and the answer she gave was so much to make me feel like a fool that in the end I didn’t get what I wanted. I get it, you have stress, depressed, no smiling costumers at all, who work in the area and are tired to give you a smile for their daily routine or whatever, but you shouldn’t apply that manners to all your other costumers...

Had a lovely lunch we both ordered scampi and chips very large portion lovely crispy coating on scampi chips cooked to perfection came with a nice little salad. Very pleasant staff. All priced very reasonably will certainly go again .

Nuestra primera visita y todos nos quedamos impresionados por la calidad de la comida y el vino y la amabilidad del personal. Esta es una verdadera joya escondida en Putney.

The problem with this place is the manager. My friend has Parkinsons disease which makes speech very difficult. She was told by the manager to get out because she was drunk. She only drinks Coke. She was in tears and I gave the manager a piece of my mind. The manager insulted my other friend saying he is too fat, and banned him saying he didn't want him here. He patronises customers, saying that you have to sit here, insulting them by pointing at tables. His pizzas are small thin and inconsequential at an enourmous price, over £20. The manager is stark raving mad, charging up and down the tiny seating area talking to himself and making hand signs. This guy is a bully to his young staff who are amazing in their manners and attentiveness. Many customers complain, but are ignored because that guy is arrogant. there are many pizza places in the area where you will get friendlier and more respectful service.

Al llegar al frente de liberación de macarrones, los propietarios nos saludaron personalmente y se aseguraron de que tuviéramos un momento agradable. Ofrecen chispas o agua del grifo de forma gratuita y también son generosos con ella. Una fusión entre el restaurante y la cafetería que sirve comida italiana liberada que supera los límites de las recetas italianas tradicionales a propósito, o que permite que la comida italiana se convierta en tiempo. Tuve una deliciosa carbonara de mariscos con almejas y calamares compartidos con amigos. Luego comí una lasaña vegetariana con salsa de tomate casera, un poco de cebolla y berenjenas al horno con queso y pesto casero. La lasaña era deliciosa y tenía un buen equilibrio de ingredientes. El pesto es por mucho el mejor que he tenido. Mientras que tenía un fraly de Illy (que era increíble) mis amigos tenían un salami de chocolate que al igual que la otra comida era realmente buena. El café aquí también es muy bueno también. Buen valor para el dinero.

Sit downstairs at one of the tiniest, but best, Italian restaurants in London. After a great cocktail selection, we had the delicious crispy beef & chicken meatballs, with parma ham & rosemary potatoes as a starter, followed by the even better passatelli (pasta made with breadcrumbs) with truffle as main. There are at least 5 pasta dishes & you can see them being made as you dine. Wines are primarily from Emilia Romagna, the Trebbiano perfect with our dishes & reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly & knowledgeable.

Fantastic authentic Napoli pizza! This was the best pizza we’ve had in Brighton, especially take away. We had a Napoli, Diavola and a mozzarella and garlic pizza. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be ordering regularly. We have visited Naples many times and this is just what you would get in Napoli.
