Like they really be employing any uneducated person over there. This one short bartender wearing white couldn't pour anything that wasn't beer to me; the bearded one wearing red did it right way, 1 star for him. Then on my way out, I was with a coca-cola and the bearded security really hurted my arm securing it. If you are uneducated, this is the place for yoy

¡Este es un gran lugar! Muy acogedor, lugar encantador para estar. El personal es maravilloso. Increíble comida jamaiquina o pizza disponible. ¡Es mi pub favorito!

Don't know this area but gave the Tavern a try early on a Saturday evening (before door security came on). Good range of beers etc, and the 4 of us had a pizza. We're probably older than the later arriving clientele but we liked it (music quite loud even when pub not busy so tricky to hear conversation for a middle aged hearing-challenged person)

Held a birthday dinner here with a group of 15 people and it was amazing. Their set menu is divine - the pie and lamb were so delicious - all the food came out perfectly and the waitresses were so attentive and diligent. It was also easy to pay and split the bill which I know can be an issue sometimes. If you’re looking to book a large table - definitely look here. Nadia helped us arrange the night and she was very attentive. Thank you!!

I wouldn't have left a review as I know it's a hard time for hospitality. However you must be very confident in your offering as I have received a prompt from yourselves to leave a review. So here it goes. We came in on the 29th December for a late Christmas lunch with a group of 9. The ambiance was lovely, so was the service. The waitress who looked after us was great. However the food less so. I had the roast beef. The vegetables were nice. The meat, which should be the hero of such a dish like this was served as 3 bits of beef, one of which I couldn't cut, let alone chew as it was tough. The Yorkshire pudding was dry and tasted old, so did the potatoes. It really felt that this meal was served from left overs from Christmas which at a price tag of £23.50 is not great. One of us had the Gnocchi. They were too soft, bordering on a mash and a vegetarian cassoulet was watery and not very tasty. The game pie also felt like it was left over from Christmas. Given that, I would not have spent any more money on desert but one of us tried the apple crumble which was equally underwhelming. On the upside one of us had a burger and really liked it. The entire meal came at a cost so all in all it felt this is a real shame as again the place is lovely and cosy and I'd like to come again for vibe and service. If the food was to improve I'd be back in an instant.
