My husband and i had a lovely lunch today and we were served by the very friendly Tania.just as i was ordering our food a man came in and said "are these tables free" Tania said "i won't be a minute i'm just serving this lady: and with that the man said " you're very rude" and stormed off.Tania was definitley not rude it was him.why do some people have no patience! We enjoyed a delicious lunch in this charming tea room served by friendly & smiley staff. Best pot of tea I’ve had in a cafe for years - served in pretty china. We’ll definitely return when passing again.

Great pub and good beers and wines, great bar snacks and meals some nights of the week. Lovely big meals and excellent bar snacks. Will serve you outside can order in advance. Rain-proof areas. Great friendly staff

Nipped in while had a little time to kill. The food was great - my breakfast was clearly fresh and was hot! It went down a treat. Great value too! Thank you. It was that good I forgot the picture 🙈

Christmas afternoon tea was amazing! Our little girls loved it and the staff were so kind and welcoming. Really made it a great experience. The afternoon tea was delicious and great value for money. We were still eating it the next day!

Stayed at the jackdaw b&b end of November for a couple of nights caravan is great breakfast supplied you couldn't ask for fresher eggs 🐓 hosts were fantastic some lovely cask ales in a very nice pub and well priced bus stop outside 30 mins to york highly recommend the jackdaw look forward to staying again 👍

The best Veggie Breakfast I've ever eaten.

Our favourite Selby cafe, lovely breakfast.

My Grandaughter took me here for a Sunday lunch,we had small portions and it was lovely,tables not too close to others,and staff were lovely.We had a look round outside,and such a good selection of plants.Would recommend Fields Garden Centre

Had the best full english breakfast here, tasted absolutely amazing. Even followed up with a scone, by far the best. The staff are so friendly and kind, the prices are great for the quality of food. Such a warm atmosphere, will definitely be back.

My friend and I had a wonderful lunch today. Really tasty veggie Thai curry from the board followed by raspberry Bakewell tart and gingerbread hot chocolate. Prompt service and friendly staff.

Lovely little place to meet, have a walk around the fishing lakes and sit for food & drink. Great menu, very tasty & well presented. Varied choice & good value. Lots of places to sit outside and nice selection of ice cream flavours. Ordered sandwiches which were delicious served with lovely side salad, coleslaw & crisps. Open 10am -3pm daily & dog friendly.
