I recently had the misfortune of visiting "Nando's" yesterday evening at 7PM and let me tell you, it was an experience I won't soon forget – though I wish I could after how many drinks I had and the rude customer service I received. Upon entering, I was greeted by the unmistakable aroma of body odour and despair of cooking. The decor was a charming mix of sticky tables and lights that can give you a headache and a cozy living vibe to the place a cozy uncomfortable vibe. I decided to brave it and ordered the which promised a mountain of crispy chicken and golden fries. After what felt like an eternity (or maybe just 20 minutes), my food finally arrived. The chicken looked like it had been burned and charcoal grilled to death in the fires of Mount Doom. The skin was so rubbery and greasy and fatty I could have used it to lubricate a car engine. One bite and I was transported to a world of regret what a waste of money. The chicken inside was as dry as the Sahara Desert, and I found myself chewing endlessly, hoping to find some semblance of moisture. Spoiler alert: there was none! The chips were another story. They were cold as snow luke warm luke cold you have been warned, and had the texture of soggy cardboard. I suspect they had been fried sometime last week and left to marinate in their own sadness of saw dust not very peri peri then is it? The only seasoning they had seen was the salt from my tears. To wash down this culinary catastrophe, I ordered a soda a bottomless soda. It arrived flat and warm out of the machine, a fitting end to this tragic meal. I left Nando's with a heavy heart and an even heavier stomach, vowing never to return. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to ruin your evening out with friends or family or stereotypical loud and noisy teenagers and kids alike. And question your life choices while you look around you! Nando's located inside the town of Wokingham is the spot for you. One star, because zero wasn't an option. Thanks Nando's! Thanks Google! For nothing but a 1 star review.

We’d been looking forward to visit Mangal II as all we’d heard was good things. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and we had high hopes, unfortunately the food did not match. We had a starter of lamb kofte & pide, the kofte was over done and cold and the bread nothing to write home about. Second course was a disappointingly expensive over cooked and cold lamb rib. The main of £25 chicken was at least tasty but again cold and the wing was definitely on the wrong side of charred and again cold. All in all a disappointing meal

Went at half 3 mid week, sat by the pass wasn't busy at all. The place was very dirty.. chips and food debris where on the floor, infront of pass and at the door going into the KP area. Staff where too busy doing nothing rather than to clean there mess. Kitchen area didn't look the best either, dirty and cluttered. Food was absolute crap compared to others I've been to, real disappointment, luke warm, needs drastic improvement.

I confess to being a big fan of Nando's, which in my opinion offers a perfect balance of quality and tasty fresh cooked food, speedy and courteous service, and a pleasant ambience, all at a reasonable price. Concerning this branch in particular, I would rate it as among the top Nando's locations I have visited, convenient to East Croydon Station, the tram stop and Box Park, yet almost a world apart - an airy, spacious and bright oasis in which to enjoy its specialty: grilled peri-peri chicken. It's hard to explain, but the whole is somehow greater than the sum of its parts. Highly recommended. Update 11/24: For the first time I can recall, there was a cock-up with my order. It was Sunday around 8:20pm, and the restaurant was not very busy when I placed my typical order (grilled chicken + 2 sides) at the counter (as opposed to using the phone app). I then collected my drink, picked up cutlery, napkins and a bottle of catsup from the soft drinks area, and back at my table read news on my phone while waiting for the food to arrive. Usually, this takes 5-10 minutes max unless it's busy, which it wasn't. Suddenly, I noticed nearly a half hour had gone by. I went up to the counter to check on what had happened. After a quick enquiry, it turned out some glitch in the system had caused my order to disappear. Anyway, the staff were quite good about it. In another 10 minutes, I received my dinner, with an apology and a bonus free side of chips. Mistakes will happen. Ratings are unchanged at 5/5/5.
