The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in England

I was looking for something to eat on a long train journey and was recommended Doorsteps of Handbridge. It was just over the bridge from central Chester but well worth the detour. It had an astounding range of sandwiches and baguettes on different types of bread. Everything was very fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed my Cajun chicken filling. My only quibble is that I felt the homemade cakes were not up to the high standards of the sandwich.

This small restaurant is wonderful for a quiet venue with good wine and excellent food. The restaurant operates an open kitchen, with a small menu cooked fresh in front of you. There's no big sign for the restaurant and you'd barely know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The current menu is found on the gate post and I would recommend it to any Richmond locals or visitors.

A lovely restaurant in so many ways. The food is both unusual and gorgeous and very well presented. the warm rolls on arrival and the schnapps at the end ensures a good beginning and end. The owner takes time to talk to everyone which makes it even more special

What a place to be. The food was unbelievable. Full of amazing touches, made with local produce. The service was superb, and the ambience and setting were perfect. Truly memorable.

The food was amazing!! the service however was really poor - wooden would be a very polite way of putting it - such a shame as the food was really good. Our waitress said nothing to us the whole time we were there (no small talk, no happy christmas, no how are you even) she listed the meal contents as it arrived each course and left... not once did any of the staff smile, not once!

Lovely hotel. Big room, quality furniture, furnishings and bathroom. Quiet. Comfy bed. No hassle check in and check out. Great coffee at breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Newport and this is probably the best so far.

Always an amazing experience here. We dined at the restaurant today because the Chef's table was full but still we had an incredible time. The food was great, the staff were very attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant is lovely. This place is turning out to be our go to restaurant for special occasions.

Not sure what we were expecting, but not this! Wow! Amazing food, fabulous service and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.

My son enjoyed his Works Christmas do here, said he tried things he’s never had before and loved it, so I’m giving this place 5***** because they’ve done something that I can’t for my boy, which is change his tastebuds👏

Birthday celebration for special person who was greeted with a complimentary drink and the warmest and friendliest of welcomes. We loved the decor, the music; Ella and more, we were impressed by the atmosphere, nothing short of delightful. The food was simply presented, beautifully cooked with quality ingredients and heaven to the taste buds. Starters included crab tart, superb. Served with a small garnish and perfect. Pate, and salmon tempura. All very much enjoyed. Main courses were venison, lemon sole and steak. Wonderful. The deserts finished a very grateful four diners with a warming glow of gratitude to put a date in the diary to return. Thank you. We appreciate your attention to us and our evening celebration.
